Makwai

A seaside town located in the region of the Abakan Jungles. Makwai is a city-state and a member of the Republic of Orisima.

Government: 

The town is governed by three elected senators from within the town's population. Usually one senator remains within the town to govern it directly while the other two senators reside in Orisima, representing the interests of Makwai in the Orisian Senate.

Defence: 

The town is defended by a garrison of the Tidewatch, the local guard of the Sea Lords of Orisima, and a small fleet of ships.

Commerce: 

Makwai has a large fishing trade as well as a sizable farming industry, harvesting fruits and nuts from the nearby jungle as well as growing a variety of crops. Makwai do not farm breed animals due to it attracting the jungle's wildlife.

Geography: 

Makwai is located between the sea and the jungle. It is a walled town filled with a mixture of wood and stone buildings. It has a small harbour near the water and by the border of the jungle there are a handful of farmsteads.
