A fortified town built on an island in the middle of the River Haven.
Fort Victoria was formerly the home of the Varin family before they became the royal family; they became a major player in politics after discovering a massive gold vein beneath the island.
Government:
The town is governed by a mayor appointed by the Varin Empire.
Defence:
The town is defended by a sizable garrison of Red Guard, the local guard of the Varin Empire.
Commerce:
Fort Victoria has a steady trade of gold from the mine beneath the island. It is also located on two trade routes, with food coming down from Lordon and because of its position on the River Haven, Fort Victoria is a common rest stop for trade ships travelling up the river.
Geography:
Fort Victoria is situated within a large stone wall at the very centre of Haven Lake. It has two large bridges that cross from the town to the north and south. Within the walls, the town itself is an orderly collection of matching stone buildings with a large castle at its centre.
