Port Nyras

The largest port city in Osirin and the main location of naval trade in the Varin Empire.

Government:

The city is governed by a council of representatives from local guilds and unions, supported by the Varin Empire.

Defence:

The city is defended by a large garrison of Red Guard, the local guard of the Varin Empire.

Commerce:

Port Nyras is the largest trade port in the Empire. Almost all trade from the Red Current comes through Port Nyras because of Trisam’s high ship tax. The city also has a healthy fishing trade as well as many businesses.

Geography:

A vivid and lively city built by the mouth of the River Haven. The city is filled with thousands of buildings made of colourful stone and marble all built on a slight slope leading down to the harbours. The city is split into four districts, the Residential Ring, the Business Quarter, Grumman Quay and Dovan Warff.

The Residential Ring.

The top part of the city is primarily filled with residential buildings and homes that are slowly expanding outwards.

The Business Quarter.

Between the Residential Ring and the harbours is the Business Quarter where the majority of businesses, shops and taverns are located. Getting a spot in the Business Quarter is limited and therefore is highly competitive. The line of buildings closest to the harbours markets heavily towards sailors.

Grumman Quay.

The smallest of the city's two harbours. Located to the east of the city, Grumman Quay is reserved for fishing vessels and small scale trade.

Dovan Warff.

The largest of the city’s two harbours. Located to the west of the city, Dovan Warff is reserved for foreign Trade and is exceptionally busy.
