vampire need blood to drink or they will begin to revert to a more feral state. however vampires cannot drink human blood because it is toxic to them. they however are able to turn humans into vampires through the act of the blood pact.

vampire had control of dark magic they had the ability to turn others into vampires and they did this to the dark twin who have faded into myth in seterchan and are little more than a foke story or so it is believed.
