Nejek'ken Governor's Mansion

Summercamp Prompt: A building or landmark used for, or associated with, communication.

The Governor's Mansion was constructed in Dank'k Nejek'ken ten years ago, following the Strashya Atoll being Marked by Exile by the Gishani Marshall's Office. It is the base of operations for Jhoutigari action in the area, which is overseen by Armun the Miser.

Rising high from one wing of the mansion is the new radio tower, constructed as an alternative to the Radio Tower of Strashya, which was decommissioned and dismantled to prevent anyone inside of the Exile zone from communicating out or being communicated with from outside. Under the gracious provision of Armun, vistors from the towns of the Atoll are allowed to come to the radio tower to recieve approved-on communications from the outside world, such as the status of family members.

The mansion welcomes visitors from the nearby towns, and Armun is happy to provide a lavish dinner for anyone who accepts his offer to either be transported to Dratn Mannumetra, or stay and help him grow the Atoll into a city once matters with Xetto the Pugnacious have been resolvd.

Armun is an eager host with a deep reserve of liquors and an understated passion for cooking. His dishes are tempting, but to eat them is to surrender to his terms.

The governor's mansion, situated at the end of a lane of carefully cultivated trees with bright blue blossoms, beckons your gazeup to the granite stairs and through the wide-open double doors of its entrance. Even from the end of the lane you can see through the house and into the private garden and arboretum behind it, where coveted species from all across Jhoutai grow in fruitful abundance.

No matter where you stand in town, the radio tower jutting from the top of the mansion reminds you of its presence, and of its uncontested control over the local airwaves. At all hours of the day, you can tune your Comm to it for updates on the weather, planetary news, Pact news, and a repeated recording of the Mark of Exile as told by Commander Amvyron.

This decree is addressed to every colonist of Strashya. I am broadcasting on every frequency and feed, this will be posted in every town.

The owner of this land, Xetto tel Rakuni, has reneged on the agreed-upon terms outlined in the purchase for this deed of land, and refuses to provide the resources required of him. He has refused all diplomacy. He refuses to comply with the law.

As a result: from today and henceforth until this land is returned to Jhoutigari governance, every hectare, construct, and inhabitant of this land is Marked as Exiled.

Communication, travel, and trade in or out are strictly prohibited and enforced via wingship.

A field office and infirmary is being constructed at Dank'k Nejek'ken, and will be overseen by Armun Zamuser'ri.

If you wish to return to Society, arrange an audience with Armun and he will organize your move to Dir'rh Mannumetra.

Xetto. If you want to square your debt to the Jhoutigari, you may speak to Armun and arrange an audience with me.
