Jeong Yamamoto

I miss Grandpa all the time. He was the one that got me into armorsmithing and engineering. My dad honed me sure, but Grandpa made it a passion.

Jeong Yamamoto is the original Patriach of the Yamamoto family and their company, Yamamoto Defense Industries. A Monolithic armorsmith, Jeong prototyped and crafted several of the original product lines from the budding company.

He got his start in armorsmithing from a young age, serving a growing colony on the planet of Jōminato. Eventually the colony stabilized and he got the chance to create his own factory to serve large scale clients.

His skill in armor smithing netted him several lucerative deals with the Andromeda Syndicate. With even more funding coming in, Yamamoto Defense Industries grew to a primary supplier of armor to the Syndicate front line.

A Family Man

Jeong's worklife merged with his family life, to him, teaching his sons and daughters the power of their trade was just as important to him as producing bullet-proof armor. He took a particular liking to his grandchildren, especially Korgin who shared his passion not only for the engineering side of armor, but the physical armorcrafting itself.

Jeong spent a good chunk of his 'retirement' teaching Korgin the value of knowing your product starting all the way from the Ore brought from the earth. Many trips of Jominato's mines and Yamamoto Defense's fabrication facilities gave Korgin an appreciation of the amount of work Jeong did to put the Yamamoto name where it is today.

Influence on Korgin and Siblings

Korgin still venerates his Grandfather even after he passed in Korgin's early 20s. He hopes to become as good an armorsmith as Jeong was, and strives to earn his Monolithic status in armorsmithing just as Jeong did.
