Government

The city is the seat of power for the whole of the isle of Inselgrune. As such it holds both the functions of it's own ruling, a lord mayor, a council, etc, however that's not the end of the bureaucracy that is housed in the Mountain Hold. It also holds the keep of the Kurfürst du Kirschdorf, und Kahuaabek, as well as the regional house of lords, and is home to delegates from across the island. Despite the auspices of the royalty that the positions are descended from, each of the lords are elected to their seat.
The city itself is run by the Lord Mayor, and the Council of the City, and the Großfamilie. The Lord Mayor is an elected position in the city, which is open to all citizens over the respective age of consent of their race. The Council is elected from each district, and then four cardinal districts for the residents outside of the walls.
Under the Lord Mayor are the heads of Departments, which include the head of the city guard, the city fire battalion, and other regents of essential functions.
