Herr Kurfürst Ludwig Gustav of the House of Drander

The head of state in the member state of The Duchy of Kirschdorf, Drander has been the reigning Kurfürst for 30 years at present. He's known to be a firm and fair administrator, however rumors abound about his councilors and other ancillaries and their vices that are readily ignored by the establishment.

Biography

Accession

Kurfürst Claudius died on 25 Simiun, during the first year of Simiun in Boroun. With the death of his eldest son five years before, and his second son 13 years dead, his third child, Ludwig, was ascended to the throne in their stead, adopting his siblings names in his royal nomen to honor them and acknowledge his place as the third child and replacement heir. With tradition, the coronation took place during the Ides of Izzun, nearly 20 days after the death of his father.
One of his first acts as the Kurfurst was to remove the councilors of his father, all of whom were ardent Adonian Extremists. This move was an interesting one, since until that point Ludwig too was seen as a very public and prominent member of the Mystery Cult. This resulted in a slew of resignations of government officials, as well as the outsting of a popular President of the Großfamilie , Herman Mueller.

In his eighteenth year, Ludwig was married to the Duchess of Krober, Eike. Together they issued six children.

Own Views

Ludwig is a noted member of the Sect of The Conflux , believing that the right and true path of piety is the blending of all of the virtues of the various Eoferan Gods together in balance and harmony.

Attitude towards other cults

Ludwig has been dismissive of the most extreme of the individual Mystery cults of the various gods, viewing them publicly as short sighted and narrow. This has come to a head in recent years, as he has begun to decline appointments of ministers and local officials that do not also support the Conflux.

Ludwig was once an avid member of the Mystery Cult of Adon, The Giver of Law and Light, and was known as a leading member in the attempt to expel the members of the Cults of Libris, The Bloodied and Free and Ikhor, The Limitless and Inevitable before embracing the sect of the Conflux shortly after his coronation.
