Shrine of Idite

Purpose / Function

The shrine of Idite was erected by the gnomes of Kirchdorf in reference to their creator god Idite in the previous centuries as a sign of respect and adulation to the God of Invention. He stands in the northern sectors of the central city, in a larger open grotto, and around him have been erected a maze or labyrinth that the pious must navigate in order to commune with the visage of the god.

Alterations

Every few dozen months, the magic of the grotto that was erected around the statue shifts and changes, altering the layout of the maze in order to challenge the faithful to continue to explore new paths in the name of Idite.

Tourism

This statue of Idite known as the Kirchdorfer Idbeeld, is a common point of travel for those who specifically follow Idite as their primary god, and it's not uncommon to see Paladins and Clerics of various domains and nationalities pay homage to the Knower by challenging his labyrinth.
