Ambarix

The religious capital of the Kingdom. It is said here is where the prophet Ambar drifted to and created the first great Mast Tower. This is the seat of power for the Five Primates and can be spotted kilometers before arriving to the city. Much like Elliaster, the towns and centers sprawl outwards from this initial spot, with the most luxurious and religious buildings closest to the tower. The tower itself is built with a combination of stone and mud, and no one truly knows how it can withstand the battering winds and waters of the Vespus sea though the clergy will have you believe it is due to Ambar’s everlasting magic. Surrounding it are a collection of towers which house influential priests and writers that encode their words into paper for eternity. Ambarix is adorned in different colors, particularly primary and element colors, all of which create a very lively vista. The hills in each isle are lined with homes painted in these and steep stairs are sometimes the only ways to get up to them. Verandas and painted tarps are placed from rooftop to rooftop in all parts of the city when it’s not raining or snowing, and the filtered sunlight paints the streets in warm, colorful light; guests in the city always remark how much the city feels alive and imbues them with merry thoughts. Smaller boats dot the multitude of rivers and in the spring time the waters are covered in petals from trees and flowers that fall down from the hills, and in the night time these same boats and hills are lit by candles and lamps. Chants from smaller towers can be heard at specific times of day - even at night - which are a stark contrast to the demure silent Knights that roam about.   The city boasts a large fishery and wharf though their sailors are not as unchallenged as the ones from Molierre, but they still bring in much of the fish the kingdom eats. Its multitude of islands hosts many smaller towns and most notably the first lodge of the Sovarix. The Hill of Varnasus (named after a legendary warrior, Xarnas, from before Ambar’s time) is a grand hilly island and the lodge encompasses most of it - both above and underground. Most others have makeshift castles by their shores which act as the island’s center of commerce and introduction to visitors.
