The Kingdom of Elliaster is a low fantasy world set in a middle-ages Kingdom, with its cultural and societal, and religious traditionalist values - with magic to spice things up. Magic, however, has always been the realm of the church and the religious, controlling who can and can't use it, hunting down those who practice it outside of the permission of the church. That's all being challenged by the appearance of an ore that can magnify magic tenfold, allowing even the most inexperienced peasant to cast magic as powerful as a life-long devotee of the church. The ore sparked a civil war within the kingdom and opened the realm to invasion from the north. Players will create characters with which they will interact with the world and other players. There will be no restriction to what the players can actually do; will they be the quintessential hero? Will they choose to gather bandits and become a chief? Will they involve themselves in the politics of the nation and seek to lead the people? Will they seek to work on the magical innovations, or inhibit them and keep the status quo?   This is a Role-Play heavy sub with a custom system. Players will need to thoroughly tell the story of their character before arriving at this point, their fears, their wishes, past or current loves, their dislikes and likes. We want the players to tell a story, and create stories. Then, they will experience their characters lives and create their stories. As they go on adventures of their making, how do they react to certain stimuli? What happens to them as they go on these adventures? The mods will act as mini Dungeon Masters, but we will be looking for players to put in work when it comes to details. We’re not looking for players to simply say, “Johnny heads outside. Johnny swings his sword.” As previously stated, we look for storytelling above the numbers and game aspects. While players will be able to do as much as their creativity allows them, we will keep track of character progression in a simple way that doesn’t restrict Role Play.
