There rite of passage is often being sent alone to find a heroic deed to prove there honor, and gain the favor of Aegis. Some do not find these deed for many years, others find only death in there attempt. Regardless, finding a Goliath troop means meeting up with battle hardened warriors, and a handful of Goliaths can be of more value then a whole legion of most. Their loyalty cannot be bought, and to question there honor is to invite death upon yourself.

The Solider race of Aegis, brought to Eldridth from the Outer Plane of Ysgard to protect the world against the Wrath of Shadowfell. When they first arrived, they were battle hardened heros from this plane of endless war, with skills uncompairable to any in our world.
