Whitesteel Autonomy Decree

The Whitesteel Autonomy Decree was the document that officially granted Whitesteel Inc full autonomy over the land they use and work on in the northwestern region Fardahnt, as long as they are able to fulfill certain quotas of material and weapon shipments to Caramiza.
The contract was drafted by Marius Dwarventhal and signed by him and regent Gustav III. Caramian of Bealuki in front of the Trade Cathedral in Bealuki during the ringing of the Handelsgut Bell. As such, the Decree is binding under the laws of Maned himself and declared fair to both parties.
As a result, Whitesteel Inc was able to mount large expansions of their factories and grant additonal income with giving out mining rights. They only need to have at least a small detail of people to keep working there, so they still fulfill the terms of the contract to own the land.
The Steelbrethren are trying to use this conditions to their advantage. Their goal is to have enough worker decide not to work for Whitesteel Inc that a location no longer can count towards this decree. So far this had no ultimate results.

Contoversy

Among prominent Tauschwarte, the contents of the decree are controversially debated. Some claim the contract is not binding and not fair under the law of Maned. Apparently, while the contract was supposedly signed under the Handelsgut Bell, there is the issue of the bell being purposely replaced by a fake to manufacture a fake deal.
In fact, the contract of the decree is certainly to the disadvantage of the government. While there is a defined quota of goods, they are neither proportional to the actual size of the fast-growing Whitesteel Inc nor do they need to be provided automatically. In fact, the quota has to be formally demanded each year by a fixed date and this deadline was not met by the government multiple times due to bureaucracy issues. The contract does grant Whitesteel Inc the power to enlist their own law enforcement, which they do with the Factory Ground Guard, but their specific tasks and rights are not clearly defined. So far Whitesteel Inc interprets these rights as wide as possible.
