She became a close ally of Azrael's in the 4th Cycle's tenth century, helping to expand the guild's operation into the Northern Territories and staying on good terms with the group's wealthiest clients. While she helped found the Sanjuro City chapter of the Handgun in 904, the tiefling Ryota quickly rose up the ranks to take control of regional operations and forced Anais on lengthy missions that kept her far away from the City. In the 920's she decided to return to Gameth, supporting the Handgun from its headquarters in Oftin.
