The Diomedes Library

A small library within The Northern Arcane District of Paris, which holds many antique and rare books, depending on what one is looking for, owned and operated by a distant relative of Baal Diomedes, the King of Magnum Opus.

Purpose / Function

The Diomedes Library exists as a rare book store as well as a public library. Every book that comes in is meticulously scribed and copied, so that the information can persist. This is especially handy for the students at the nearby academies, who adore the Library as a very casual location, especially with The Lavender Teacup right next door providing a comforting environment.

Alterations

The Library started as a small building when Amon Diomedes first made it, but over the years it has expanded slightly, including a second story to house Amon Diomedes and his family, currently just a young apprentice.

Architecture

The building is made with simple purple stone from the cities masonry mines, and the inside uses dark wood bookshelves to keep the color consistent.

History

In the 87 years of it's activity, since the elderly Diomedes opened his store, it has gone through many hard times, including The Border Wars, but nonetheless it has stayed open, working, and providing a vital service, come hell or high water. When asked what he wishes most for the store, Diomedes merely states that he hopes it goes to someone who will care for it the same way.
