Before the Battle

The most powerful mobilization Vareholm has ever assembled meets at Gilnaith.
Mechs, Dragon Knights, and adventurers board the Sky Fortress and approach the storm around Ril-Annon Ost. The land is covered in petrified trees and snow.   During the flight, Lani hears a voice in her ear say “I feel like we’re being watched.” A Truesight reveals a scrying orb following the party. Additionally, a figure can be seen, far in the distance on the ground. Humanoid. Vazcarius waves, and it appears to wave back.   The Queen of the Jungle, Riesk, Joana, Lani, Kinsara, Gerard in the Pikyr Buster, Vazcarius, Caelam, Hazel, Namarrkon, Lazura, Morsein, Radan, and the Osmium King approach. Cale went really far to the west, but then went back to the front. Jolene and Adrian remained on the tower.   Pikyr acknowledged the Buster. “Quite the array of friends here.”
Gerard/Buster: “You know how it goes.”
Pikyr: “Have you brought my sword back?”
Gerard/Buster: “Don’t think I will.”
Pikyr: “Are you sure?”
Gerard/Buster: “Yes.”
Pikyr: “You see, I’d very much like it back.”
Gerard/Buster: “Nah, it can stay away.”
Pikyr: Sigh. “I could perform a favor for you, perhaps. Does something trouble you that I could wish away?”
Gerard/Buster: “Not interested.”
Pikyr: “What about the rest of you? Wish is a powerful spell.”
Kinsara: “We’re aware of what you’ve done in the past.”
Vaz: “You could wish yourself out of existence.”
Pikyr: “You could summon lawmakers from Mechanus to structure the Wish.”
Kinsara: “Not interested.”
Pikyr: “Then what are you here for?”
Gerard/Buster: “You.”
Telepathically, Lani: “Is it go time?”
Joana: “Is it an illusion?”
Through truesight, it seems to be a normal female elf.
Marr: “We’re just talking for talking’s sake, we should just fight.”
Adrian: “Do what you do best.”
The party finds themselves unable to unsheathe their weapons.   Pikyr: “I was hoping we could have an honest discussion. But Vareholm often doesn’t seem to desire such a thing. So before you came down, I casted a little Wish to ensure we have a discussion.”
Hazel: “About what?”
Pikyr: “I want my sword back. It’s quite simple. Give me the sword, and I’ll give you whatever you want.”
Gerard: “We don’t want anything.”
Hazel: “What about, you being gone from existence. Without the sword.”
Pikyr: “If you want me to leave, that can be arranged. There are other planes.”
Kinsara: “You’re not getting the sword, Pikyr.”
Pikyr: Sigh. “That’s a shame.”
The nearby volcano starts rumbling. Heavy smoke swells up, and the fire turns blue.   Pikyr: “I suppose that’s the best I can hope for. I’ll see you around.”
She begins to walk away. Gerard makes to swing, and initiative is rolled. Adrian forces the initiative to be rerolled using Time™.

Round 1

Cale is the first to act. She gets her buffs from the hole, hops back out, and shoots at Pikyr. The first shot, a 33, hits the elf’s head and smacks into a platinum/gold barrier surrounding her. The barrier looks quite similar to the one around Vareholm. She uses her bonus action to move 50 feet + her remaining to move west once more, and an additional 50 feet up.   Radan uses Steady Aim to fire a shot, a 26. The shot wings the side of where Pikyr is standing, only a glance of the barrier. A miss. He uses his stroke of luck, forcing a hit. A strong gust of wind forces it back, but it still hits the barrier. It seems that there is no attack strong enough to hit.   Sarkov wonders, but doesn’t know what is happening. She moves into the glyph hole for her buff, then takes the dodge action, and leaves the hole.   Caelam does the same, but can’t emerge yet.   Pikyr performs a lair action, a Wish. Kinsara wants to counterspell, but is too far away. Pikyr says, “I wish you’d all find something more important to take care of.”   From here, it kinda started going downhill. Despite the Mindblanks, it appears that the Wish is able to take hold of individuals’ minds.   Cale finds that the necks of her allies are completely unprotected. Her past begins to creep up into her mind, and bloodthirst builds.   Radan hears something telepathically. She looks concerned. “No, no no no. We’re not doing this. Morsein?!” A five-headed dragon appears behind the party. It's Tiamat.   Caelam’s mask falls off. It falls to the ground forming yellow tendrils that start to form the shape of. . .himself. Drawing a blade made of tattered yellow rags with a long-forgotten yellow sign, the twisted grin of the king in yellow. “Hello, Samurai.”   Lani hears the invisible creature detection activate, as the staff she’s held for several months retriggers itself. “Staciophor.” She looks to the side and sees Aldyn Coldfate, holding a staff.   Gerard is unaffected by magic. But, after his time on Terra, he learned that humans and electricity don’t mix. Which is why it’s concerning that several sparks come rocketing out of the storm, coalescing into lightning elementals. He looks back at the tower, and there are elementals all over it. The constructs are freaking out, firing their rifles.   Morsein is concerned about what’s behind him. It's still Tiamat.   Adrian hears a voice, “I’ve got you all to myself.” The shadows grow darker, assassins from the Spire appear around him.   The Osmium King is fine.   Namarrkon sees a familiar goblin, Ghillie, holding two soulknives. “Hey.”   Joana hears a straight-laced voice. “I’m sorry, Joana-Mother.”   Hazel sees Epiales appear behind her.   Running out of the woods towards Vazcarius is an undead dragonborn, as Cristo charges him.   Jolene hears a “Ma?” behind her. It's her three boys, who turn into Calamity-monsters (terrible abominations).   Kinsara feels a shadow cross her vision. She glances up to see a Nautiloid above her, loading its spell cannons.   Lani’s turn. She dips into the hole and uses the scroll of the comet, hoping to eliminate Pikyr’s “lair”. A massive comet crashes to the ground, cleaving off a significant portion of the map. 30d10 for 183 damage. Snow and petrified trees soar into the sky. There’s a zone under Pikyr that isn’t affected.   Pikyr turns around. “Well, that wasn’t very nice. Permea, if you would.” Permea, from within a volcano, flings a flaming blue meteor from the volcano towards Lani. Namarrkon, Gerard, The Osmium King, and Vaz, all make Dex saves. None of them pass save the Buster (Gerard) and Lani because the DC is 34. 10th level spell called “Eruption.” The Wyrm Slayer armor is unaffected.   Doze: “Save of 34. I think that’s too high, which I’m reticent to admit.”   The save is actually 27. Vaz and the Osmium King make their save as well. 65 bludgeoning, 75 fire.   Pikyr looks to Aldeyn and gestures towards the tower. “I think that’s a little far, don’t you?” He then uses his dominating gaze upon Gerard, which has no affect.   “How interesting.” She faces the party head on, now.   The Lightning Elementals try to break into the Pikyr Buster Armor. A 31 Intelligence Save. Gerard feels them start getting into the armor, fucking up his shit. With the Intelligence Save, he takes 12 psychic damage. Mindblank means that it is only 6 psychic damage to Gerard directly.   Tiamat steps forward to bite down on Morsein. He casts a spell to GTFO, taking a bit of damage.   The shadow assassins approach Adrian. “Why didn’t you save us?” Adrian makes a 21 intelligence save, but it’s not enough. Adrian takes 25 psychic damage, reduced to 12.   Ghillie throws one at Marr. One misses, one hits. 16 intelligence save, and takes 25 psychic reduced to 12.   Ulm takes Joana’s hand. “It’s better if you don’t resist.” It racks her mind. 33 intelligence save. 12 damage, reduced to 6.   The manifestation of Epiales looks at Hazel and laughs. “Let’s see what little nightmares you and your friends have!” Hazel makes an intelligence save and a religion check, failing the first and doing okay on the religion check, 15. Hazel gets dissonance: something is wrong.   Vaz sees Cristo charging him, going to jab with his halberd, missing. “Fucking bullshit!” He swings again and hits. Vaz makes a 28, succeeding. 12 damage reduced to 6.   Jolene makes her own save, rolling a 25 for a failure. She takes 12 damage.   Kinsara sees the nautiloid point its guns at her. She hears Vazhnyy in her head. “This isn’t real. This isn’t real.” She automatically succeeds the save, taking 6 damage. The nautiloid is fading in and out of existence.   Gerard’s turn. He lets out a salvo against Pikyr. 4 hit, one of them being a crit. Pikyr attempts to cast Shield, but it doesn not catch the missiles. 20, 38, 23, 19, and 28 damage. Bonus action to increase wisdom to 20. Aldyn takes his turn. He nods at Pikyr, then to Lani. “Hundreds of years, and you’re still an apprentice. See what Dunamancy can do!” He holds a hand towards the tower, and it starts to shake. Unfortunately, it is not a spell, so it can’t be countered.   Cale sees the exposed necks. She fails the save, 12 psychic damage from the internal disgust.   Tiamat bites out towards the dragonborn. They all fail, taking 25 damage as they do not have foresight or mindblank. Radan, however, is CR 26 and doesn’t take any damage, being immune to psychic damage anyway.   Caelam deflects the attacks from Pallid Caelam, but fails the intelligence save. 25 damage, reduced to 12. On Morsein’s turn, he looks at Aldeyn and makes an Arcana check to see if it’s a real person there. Unknown details are sent between Doze and Hardly. Morsein attempts to use Feeblemind with a strength save, but Aldeyn absorbs it into his staff, using his reaction. It is noticed that a giant strength belt is around Aldeyn’s waist.   Adrian attempts an Arcana check on the other illusions, 26. “One off”, according to the DM. Adrian receives the same information that Morsein did. Then, he casts Chain Lightning on them. DC 21 Dex, 42 damage. They appear unaffected. Adrian flies up into the air, and the shadows notably don’t take opportunity attacks.   The Osmium King, with Truesight, sees. . .something, in the illusions. It wallops Epiales with it’s tail, dealing 64 damage. The Green Dream took the hit, but it is still barely scratched.   On the Osmium King’s actual turn, he breathes on the Green Dream, dealing 395 fire damage. It failed the saving throw by one point. The Green Dream is now at about half health.   Marr summons a Storm Cloud to hit Ghillie. Unfortunately, she takes no damage. Namarrkon dives into the hole, takes the enlarge potion, exits, and flies 30 feet up into the air.   On Joana’s turn, she flies into the Glyph Hole, then flies forward. She flies towards Pikyr, drinks the enlarge potion, and CRITICALLY HITS FOR 40 TO HIT WITH WYRMSBANE. She sees a darkened Hamarut shard within. She pierces through the barrier, and expends a Chaos Ruby to maximize the damage she does. 323 damage as the dragon-slaying properties of the sword take effect. She lands another swing, dealing an additional 50 damage. The chaos ruby fires a 5th level magic missile. Pikyr takes 6 additional damage, and Joana is hit by one as well. As a part of Spirit Shroud, Pikyr cannot heal until the next round. In total, the hit did 369 damage, after recalculating.   Jolene expends her held action for the tanks and helicopters to shoot the Calamaty’d children of hers. It's a pretty messed up situation.   Pikyr uses Luring Glare on Joana. Joana rolls a 23 on her Wisdom Save, a failure. She is stunned until the end of Pikyr’s next turn.   Riesk puts down their unicorn healing totem. She uses a Mass Cure Wounds to deal out 21 healing to select people, and an additional 15 healing to everyone within an aura. The Queen of the Jungle strides forward to attempt to flank with Joana, making a multiattack on Pikyr. It lands a critical with a claw, dealing 95 damage. It does not seem to be able to grapple Pikyr. It lets out an aura in an attempt to charm Pikyr, but she is immune to it. Aldeyn is also fine.   Pikyr tries to reach out towards Joana’s neck. She slashes her for 33 damage. Pikyr’s Claws are Vorpal, a critical hit would be a disaster.   Hazel uses here Path To The Grave feature to curse the Green Dream. Bonus Action to use a 3rd level healing word on Namarrkon. The Osmium King immediately hits the Green Dream for 128 damage. It makes the save to avoid being knocked prone.   Pikyr moves 120 feet into the air, provoking an attack from the Queen. It misses with a 25. The Queen also uses a legendary action to fly upwards and attack once more, missing with a 29 as it hits the Shield.   On Vaz’s turn, he dashes to get into the hole to get his boons, and turns into a dragon. With his haste and Longstrider, he soars up next to Pikyr.   Jolene begins firing at the Calamity monsters around her, dealing an impressive amount of radiant and piercing damage.   Kinsara dispels magic on the nightmare effect plaguing everyone. It was a 10th level illusion, it seems. Epiales yells “YOUR WISH IS GRANTED, I’M LEAVING!” However, he remains on the scene. The dispelled effect goes into her glove. She then targets the barrier around Pikyr as well with Simsara (simulacrum), but it fails. Simsara wasn’t quite able to get past it, however. Simsara realized that Epiales is actually Holocene.   Lazura drinks a potion of Heroism, and grants the ability to Fly to Caelam, Hazel, Lani, Cale, Riesk, Joana, and Adrian.   The MBT tanks unfortunately aren’t able to act, as they are out of range.   Out of sync, the Simulandothiel (simulacrum) takes its turn. She uses a Call Lightning which seems to bounce off the barrier.

Round 2

Cale launches some shots towards Aldeyn. A critical hit lands, dealing 27 force, 19 radiant, and 31 piercing. It succeeds on a STR save with 26, and barely fails a concentration check by rolling a 32, when he needed a 33. It seems to be resistant to radiant. Another shot landed, dealing a total of 39 damage. Aldeyn calls out Cale, saying she’s next.   Radan flies up to Pikyr. He makes an Investigation check, a natural 20 for 36, to examine the barrier. It seems that Pikyr indeed has created a makeshift barrier around herself. It doesn’t seem to have any physical weakspots for the moment. It also seems that she is powering Wishes through shards, costing a shard for each cast. Radan attempts to hit Pikyr, but to no avail.   Sarkov moves towards Holocene, and CRITS THAT BITCH. 139 total damage, and Holocene is looking rough at a quarter health. The next attack is a 27, which Holocene attempts to Shield but it gets counterspelled by Hazel. An additional 88 fire. Holocene is resistant to fire damage, it seems. Another attack, a 32, for 77 more fire. A 29, and 77 additional damage. Holocene is near about 1/8th of his health.   Caelam runs over to Holocene, and makes his attacks. A miss, and a 30 to hit for 68 damage. Another hit, 31, for 110 more damage. Holocene swears, “I will be seeing you soon!”, and is no more.   On Holocene’s death, Hazel gets the chance to heal someone for 39 health, the number of hit dice that Holocene had. Unfortunately, no one is in range, and those hitpoints scatter into the wind.   The Queen of the Jungle tries to scratch Pikyr, but it doesn’t work.   It is revealed that the world is Pikyr’s Lair.   Pikyr has a spell on her, Counter Spell Defence. It is an additional 1 to the DC for each level on a spell to attempt to counterspell/dispel her magic.   With this grand power, Pikyr casts a Wish. Kinsara counters it anyway, capturing a Wish for herself.   Lani casts Evard’s Black Tentacles on Aldeyn. He manages to make the save. Simulandrothiel casts a Call Lightning, and he once again makes the save. But, lo! Aldeyn is immune to lightning.   Aldeyn turns to Lani, casting a spell. Lani counters, and Aldeyn counters the counter. The spell is Dominate Person, but it doesn’t affect Lani due to the Mindblank.   Aldeyn folds space, and teleports to the tower.   Pikyr’s turn. “This is altogether too much.” She pulls out a scroll, and Kinsara attempts to Coutnerspell. It succeeds with a natural 20, and Kinsara absorbs a healing spell with the effect of a long rest.   Pikyr drops her human form.   She rerolls initiative, getting a natural 20. Adrian forces a reroll to a 15. However, this now means that she can go again. They send a meteor swarm over to the tower. Adrian rolls a 23. The Hazel simulacrum takes double damage. 140 total, and Adrian goes unconscious. Frederico (his familiar) goes poof, along with the Hazelacrum. Aldeyn fails his save too.   Gerard requests someone go check on the tower, flying to Pikyr’s side. Lani calls out that she’s on it. He activates his Accuracy boon, and he fires off a missile salvo, dealing 157 damage. He activates the Distraction Boon, granting everyone advantage against Pikyr. Bonus action is used to boost Wisdom saves.   The LC-291 copters fire at Aldeyn, blowing him to smithereens.   Gerard has a cannon swing around, casting a mass heal on Adrian which heals just about everyone.   Pikyr attempts a Wing Attack, but the Queen of the Jungle swoops in to shield everyone behind here from the attack. She still needs to make a DEX save along with Vazcarius. Vaz manages to take no damage and avoids getting knocked prone. The Queen fails, taking 41 damage. They then move 140 feet to the east.   On Adrian’s turn, he teleports Caelam and Morsein into the air near Pikyr, 240 feet up into the air. He goes to sift through Aldeyn’s remains, but it seems he left none. He runs over to a spell cannon, preparing to fire a Dispel Magic at the volcano. The Queen of the Jungle swoops to the south side of Pikyr, hitting with a 27. A total of 58 damage.   On Pikyr’s turn, she flies southeast, proccing opportunity attacks from Caelam and Morsein. Caelam just misses with a 26. Pikyr uses their movement to boost the range of their breath attack, billowing out in a huge cone, for a total of 403 damage. Just about everyone takes enough damage to die, getting saved from their Death Ward. Joana manages to make her save, and through a Heroes Feast only takes 100 damage. Kinsara's simulacrum is poofs into non-existence. Poison coats the ground where the breath landed, filled with poisonous gas, 20 feet high.   The Osmium King flies upward to Pikyr, landing a 40 attack for 54 slashing, a 25 for a miss, and a 37 bite for 84 piercing and 45 fire damage.   Pikyr uses an At-Will spell. The Osmium King cannot counterspell it because he cannot upcast his innate counterspells. “I wish you to die where you stand.” Thanks to her Death Ward, however, Joana stays up. But the Death Ward fizzles out. “I suppose we’ll break out the big ones, then.” 3 shards on Pikyr are blackened, out of a total of 11.   Marr uses a Mass Cure Wounds on himself and Jo for 22 health.   Radan uses a Broken Pocket Watch to Stop Time as a free action, stopping time for 4 rounds. Gerard, unaffected through Terra machinery, flies out of the poisoned area, taking 28 poison damage on the way out. He fires another missile salvo, landing 5 for a total of 168. Another salvo, 2 hits and 1 crit, 137 more damage. And yet another, 3 attacks for 86 damage. All of it, waiting for the Time Stop to end. Once it’s over, Radan can make his move without making the Time Stop end. A 29 to hit, 36 True Damage as well as Deadly Sneak Attack. Pikyr makes the save however, taking only 79 additional damage.
“Look, we’re talking about real complicated shit here.”
-Doze
Pikyr is blasted by damage and bellows out in pain. Radan chucks the nonmagical pocket watch at Pikyr. Bonk. He also attempts to Sleight of Hand a Hamarut shard. Doze sends a DM to Ratzah.   The Osmium King again uses a Tail Sweep. Pikyr barely makes the save, but ADRIAN SUBTRACTS A D10 EAT SHIT! He is knocked prone, resulting in 280 feet of falling damage. He falls on Sarkov, killing him. 59 bludgeoning damage on the way down. He somehow manages to avoid being Stunned by it, however.   Joana has a turn once more. The cloud is blackening and thick, resulting in a heavily obscured environment. 26 poison damage at the start of her turn. She flies over the smoke to Pikyr, landing 4 shots with Wyrmsbane. BUT FIRST!   Doze has forgotten a thing! Lone Wolf Defense-- he defends against multiattacks. Every time they are hit by a strike, their AC increases by 5 until the start of the current acting creatures turn. It appears that Pikyr isn’t the one concentrating on it either. Thus, only the first two attacks hit. A total of 181 damage.   Riesk’s turn. 31 poison damage from the lingering effect. She uses healing word on Lazura for 6 healing, and moved out of the poison.   The Queen recharges her ability. Ancient Breath for 44 cold damage. Pikyr makes a 39 Con Save.   Hazel used a Heal on herself for 70 health, and flies out of the poison. She places another Path To The Grave curse upon Pikyr. She flies a little closer, using a healing word on herself for another 9 health.   Before Vaz’s turn, it turns out that Joana had advantage and thus would have landed another hit. An extra 54 damage. Vaz flies closer, and breathes poison upon Pikyr. They make the Con Save, taking 37 damage. As a hasted action, he bites for A CRITICAL HIT LMAO AND HE’S VULNERABLE. 148 damage, doubled. 296 total damage! He RIPS OUT ONE OF THE SHARDS. It’s a 10’x10’ shard.   Vazcarius: “There’s space for only one green dragon in Idriell.”   Vaz takes a bonus action to Help Joana.   Jolene works on a tank so that it can take a shot at Pikyr on her turn. She also turned on her Cube of Force to repel spell effects.   Kinsara gets on the Queen of the Jungle to be behind her. She then attempts to use Pikyr’s stored wish.   Kinsara: “I wish my allies could ignore Pikyr’s defenses.”   Pikyr casts Counterspell. Kinsara counterspells back, and Vaz uses Mage Slayer and Stroke of Luck to make an attack for a total of 84 damage. From that damage, Pikyr can’t even have counterspelled anyway, and thus Kinsara’s counterspell is wasted. The Wish succeeds. A Hamarut scale goes black and falls off.   Pikyr: “NO! YOU!” Kinsara becomes the first PC to cast Wish.   Lazura takes 30 poison damage before flying out of the poison on the ground. They move up to Pikyr, using the Mace of the Lost. A total of 31 + 35 damage. Metamagic used to cast Crown of Stars.   The Queen of the Jungle attempts to hit Pikyr, missing with a 22.   A tank fires at Pikyr, dealing 137 full damage.   Kinsara notices, for the first time of everyone, an integer overflow for Wish. When you’ve casted it as much as Pikyr has, a new one pushes out the old one. As he casts new wishes, he loses wishes he has casted years ago. Long story short, he is no longer affected by a barrier.

Round 3

Cale’s turn, and she’s feeling useful because the Hamarut barrier defense is down. A 28 for 41 damage, and an additional 100, which Pikyr chooses not to resist. 2 more shots miss, an additional shot hits, and a crit hits. 241 total damage.   Radan uses a True Heal scroll that he pickpocketed from Pikyr, and used it on Lazura. They only work on Dragon Knights.   Caelam uses an item to increase his crit range to 18-20, and attacks. The first attack hits, the next two miss, the fourth crits.   Caelam, the Warrior King of Idriell, surges, critting 3 more times! HOLY SHIT! WHAT! 712. Total. Damage. Enough to single-handedly take down a Tarrasque.   Pikyr casts a Wish. Caelam crits twice more as it happens, for another 163 damage. 875 total. Bow down to the king.   Kinsara does a counterspell, taking another of Pikyr’s wishes.   Lani holds an action until Kinsara casts a spell.   Pikyr’s turn. Half movement to stand up. Rest of movement to fly southeast, possibly in retreat, and the Queen follows. Joana crits on her next attack thanks to Vaz’s help, and unleashes a Chaos Ruby. She targets Pikyr’s breath to recharge at disadvantage, and dealing 235 damage in the process. Wild magic grants her 4d10 lightning damage on Pikyr, for 22 total.
“Could you just fireball yourself?”
-Doze
Pikyr casts Wish again, and Kinsara counters once more with the TTTTP. The roll makes it, and she takes a Wish once more. As a bonus action, Pikyr uses a meteor swarm on Kinsara. She suffers heavily, taking a total of 137 damage.   On Gerard’s turn, he tells Pikyr to screw themself. 2 hits, and a crit, for 114 damage. He casts Mass Heal from the cannons. 3 Call Lightnings get blasted towards Pikyr from the cannon. Pikyr manages to save on all of the spells, taking a total of 79 damage. Cale, Hazel, and Marr are fully healed from the Heal.   Adrian dips into the glyph hole for a Haste, casts an 8th level dispel magic on Pikyr, and converges the timelines onto the one where he barely succeeds. Pikyr’s Elemental Deflection, Lone Wolf Defence, and Counter Spell Defence, are all gone. MVP play.   Pikyr is not looking great.   Vaz uses a boon to make Pikyr vulnerable to lightning damage. It’s about to get nasty for the poor bastard. Namarrkon licks his lips.   Adrian sends out a 9th level fireball, but lightning. 108 total damage to Pikyr.   Doze gets into his Pikyr headspace.   Pikyr wishes. “I wish I was the fastest thing there is!”   No one is around to Counterspell. Namarrkon attempts to force a DC 19 Wisdom Save, but it can’t do anything to Pikyr. Doze rolls more initiatives for Pikyr. He now has more turns. He breaks for the tower, and meteor swarms Kinsara again on the way out. 146 total damage. She passes the save with bless, rolling a 24 on a +7 dex save and a +4 from Bless!   The Osmium King signals everyone to get together to teleport, holding an action to do so when it is ready.   Pikyr casts yet another Wish. “I wish I could cast anything I want, whenever I want it!”   The Ordovitch shatters, and a ghostly form appears. “YOU MADE YOUR LAST MISTAKE, PIKYR!”   Namarrkon casts a 9th level Call Lightning, Channel Divinity. Dexterity save at disadvantage.   Pikyr casts his one 12th level spell. He monologues.
Pikyr: “You can kill a dragon, but not a god! I trained Liadon from birth to cast this spell for me! I cast Karsus’s Avatar!  The characters find themselves in a bubble. There are giant figures in the distance, watching the battle. Ao and Io are in the distance, watching the battle. This is why the barrier erupted. Someone comes hurtling towards the party. Maybe an elf, maybe a human, dwarfed by the size of Pikyr, but still quite large. An extremely deep cut, as Mystra, the Goddess of Magic appears.   Mystra: “Alright bitch, I’m calling it here!” She forces the spell to fail.
Pikyr: “THERE YOU ARE! MUAHAHAHHA!”   Joana holds an action to attack Pikyr and gets towards the Osmium King.   Pikyr: “Let’s see how you fare when you can’t counterspell again! I wished you died where you stand!”
Mystra: “Oh, you’re going to--” falls to the ground, dead.   Riesk looks through her spells, and nothing comes to mind. She can’t figure out how to cast any spells. Mystra has died, and magic cannot be mustered. She runs towards Osmium. The Queen closes the distance with Pikyr, and attacks. 35 to hit, 84 total damage. The other two miss.

Pikyr is able to cast a spell. Ao sighs, and disappears from sight. Pikyr laughs to himself.
Pikyr: “Finally, I’ve got you all where I want you! I wish everyone in the world could see how the heroes of Vareholm failed to save their precious world!”   Ratzah: “But I’m from Amara Mors.”
Doze: “I'm going to kill you."   The sky is littered with scrying orbs. Thousands upon thousands of people are watching.   Carrye: “Do gods have souls?”
Doze: “Ahaouohoah?”   Hazel wants to use Divine Intervention to bring Mystra’s soul back.
“Reminder that we’re technically 18 seconds in from when the fight started.”
-Kiive
Hazel is “stopped at the door” with that request. The overgods are working on it. She asks to use it to stop him from wishing, but that’s not gonna work. But they can make some magic work. A beam of light appears over the horizon.   Pikyr: “NO!”   Everyone’s magic comes back. Pikyr is, as they say, angy.   Pikyr: “I wish to always have my breath weapon!”   The volcano shrinks away. A voice echoes, “We are done, Pikyr!”   Poison drips from Pikyr’s mouth.   Doze lets Vaz roll to recharge his breath with advantage as a fiat. Vaz moves 400 feet towards Pikyr, but is not quite within range. He action-dashes as well, and is effectively climbing on top of Pikyr. Pikyr wishes once more, and Vaz uses Mage Slayer. Vaz bites down with a 34 at advantage, dealing a total of 39 damage. It breaks Pikyr's concentration, meaning that his wish to make his breath hit the entire map can’t work!   Through Spirit Guardians, his speed is halved. An additional 21 necrotic damage.   Pikyr flies 110 feet, adding enough range to his breath weapon to hit just about everyone.   Everyone except Cale and the ones behind the Queen make Con saves. 406 total damage on the roll. DC 29 Con save, Caelam, Marr, and Gerard are able to make the save. Everyone has the damage reduced to 203, the successful saves reduce it to 101. Hazel goes down to 0, but not dead. More poison covers the map.   Kinsara invokes a boon to summon an unlikely friend.   Kinsara: “You may be a villain, Pikyr, but you’re not a super one.”
Pikyr: “What’s the difference?”
Kinsara: “Presentation!”   GALDRIC appears! Caelam is given a potion of "get big," and gets a big-ass boost. An ally appears next to Morsein. He crushes a healing potion in his hand and gives it to him. 44 hp. Kinsara is hasted? Another dark grey Slaad appears next to Cale.   Slaad: “HEY WHAT'S UP GIRL. I GOT YOU THIS SHIT.”
A potion of storm giant size. 3x damage die.   One appears next to Lani. Potion of Invulnerability. Invulnerable to everything.
For Ozzy: “Uhhhh respectfully, I don’t think I can offer much but uh idk can I hang out?”
Osmium King: “Yes.”
Slaad: “Cool!”   Joana is given 48 healing. For Gerard, he attempts to jump up, can’t reach the buster, dies to poison. Scrub.   For Adrian: “I don’t really know what to do for you but have you had a potion of heroism--yes you have. Uh, oh! This is cool.” Potion of maximum power. 4th level or lower, max damage. Chaos Emerald without the bullshit.   For Simulani: “Ey why not?!” Gets the same thing.   For Hazel: “Gets healed for 42.” Potion of giant size.   One falls onto Vaz. “I don’t know what to getcha there bud but uh this sounds good.” Double haste for one minute. Double haste!   For Kinsara: “Hey im a big fan love your work watching the fight. When i got the call to action i was like omg i get to meet my celebrity.” No help lmao.   For Marr: 3 Slaads. “Oh my god you look messed up.” 137 hp. For Jolene: “Wouldnt it be messed up if i hurt you hahah jk. Wouldn’t it be messed up if this potion was poison haha jk.” Potion of speed, she’s hasted.   White Slaad for Pikyr: “Ah shit, you’re so far away.” He teleports 500 feet up and lands on Pikyr for 62 bludgeoning damage. “COME OOOOOON! I'M THE GOD OF EXERCISE. WERE GONNA SHOW YOU HOW WE DO IT!” It (?) bites Pikyr, 15+7 damage. A claw hits, but doesn’t apply disease. 63 total damage. Galdric flies to Hazel.
Galdric: “Mademoiselle, I have trouble talking you are quite beautiful.” Transmutation of Panacea to fully heal Hazel.   Jolene’s Turn. The author is weary. Jolene blasts off towards Pikyr (should double check).   Pikyr: “I. Am. DONE!” Power Word Massacre. “Fall by my voice. Die!”   Cale almost dies, but uses extra health to survive. Shouldn’t have been enough to live, but who’s keeping track of everything in this fight anyway. Radan does not die. Caelam has 204 and doesn’t die. Lani has Death Ward which is expelled. Gerard is unaffected. Adrian dies. The Osmium King has enough hitpoints. Marr has 192 + hitpoint buffer. Jo has 192 something and dies, teleporting to Vareholm. Riesk dies. Hazel dies. Jolene uses the cube of force to not die. Kinsara’s death ward saves her. Tanks and stuff are good. Lazura dies and turns into a dragon.   Kinsara wishes that Pikyr’s last turn never happened. Pikyr can’t counter it anymore, the counter protection is down. Everyone who died is back to one.   Pikyr wishes again, Kinsara counters again, at 9th level. Auto success.   Pikyr breathes directly on Kinsara, 439 damage. She has no reaction, and rolls enough to save by rolling a 26 and then a 3 on the bless. Barely enough. Reduced to 109.   Marr’s turn. He puts lightning into the cannons i think?   Pikyr casts Wish. He’s feeling “sexy and cool”. He wishes that he has all his hitpoints back. BUT HE CAN’T HEAL! HE WASTES HIS WISH!   We can now see his hitpoints. He’s at like 75 % lmao. But the last shard falls out. Lol did he wish that no one could see his health?   Everything fades away. Cale auto hits because sure, idk? Big hits. 299 damage.   A distant child in Vareholm cries. Everyone agrees with the wise child.   Pikyr casts Wish. He begins physically wasting away. 9d10 necrotic for a total of 57, can’t be reduced in any way. (The Slaads died btw.) Pikyr is cornered, he wishes to gtfo. The barrier around everyone shudders again, the black and white dome covering everyone. Ao stands up.
Ao: “There’s no running. This is your end.”   Around the outside, the white fills with black. Shadows curl around the outside of the dome.
Voice: “It’s time, Pykir. Don’t you want to come to the shadows you bound me to?”   Radan stabs Pikyr with a true dagger, 31 to hit. Pikyr casts Shield, and takes 9 necrotic damage for doing so.   Pikyr casts wish. “I want all my buffs back!” 40 more necrotic damage, and his previous buffs are back.   Caelam’s turn. He’s waiting on OK to teleport. Supreme potion of healing, 44 hp total.   Pikyr: "I wish I was legendary again."
Casts wish again. “I want to heal!” Nothing happens. Lani flies out of the poison. She casts Ravenous Void, DC 25 Strength. Reduced outer radius by 30 feet to make the DC 31. But since Pikyr is in the middle, it’s a CHECK, not a Save. Automatically takes the damage, 27. Pikyr is also restrained. Lani loads a Reality Break into a cannon.
Lani: “Someone should shoot this. At Pikyr.”   Pikyr: “I wish to be over there!”
58 damage. Teleports far north, north of everyone.   The Queen attacks and hits with a 30, advantage from restrained. 52 damage.   Pikyr’s Turn. He breathes on the gang. 400 feet. Cale barely avoids it. 377 damage. Hazel is down to zero. Gerard uses a void kraken eye to pass the save. Galdric is dead. Marr, Gerard, and Lani make the save. Hazel goes back down, but thanks to the potion, isn’t dead.
“NO! REMEMBER ME AS A HUMAN! NOT AS A WEIRD FROG THING!”
-The Last Words of Galdric
Gerard’s Turn. 100 feet towards Pikyr. Another missile salvo. First one hits, two crit. 155 total damage.   Marr calls lightning through the cannon. Pikyr actually fails a save. A total of 204 damage. He asks Adrian to fire a mass heal. The fortress inches ever closer.   Pikyr: “I wish anyone who was hit by my breath continued to take that damage!”
He then breathes, 361 damage. Hazel fails a death save. Lani and Caelam fail. Caelam’s Death Ward pops. Lazura succeeds. The Buster (Gerard) succeeds. Morsein succeeds because he’s a green dragon. The Osmium King fails his save. Marr fails. Riesk makes the saving throw. Lani is at 2 death saves.   The Queen of the Jungle makes the Con save for the breath attack. Adrian and Morsein work together. They combine their magic to use gusts and whirlwinds to blow the poison away.   Pikyr’s vulnerability to lightning ends.   Adrian kicked a cannon with a high-heeled boot to send a mass heal out. Everyone heals 70 hitpoints.   Pikyr is feeling stressed. All his things are going away. The barrier is blocking him from escaping.   Pikyr: “I WISH NO ONE CAN HEAL! NO ONE!”
46 necrotic damage.   Morsein uses an utterance of nullification. It gets rid of the coutnerspell defense, and the counterspell can succeed if the roll is good. GM Roll, unfortunately. But it was a 23. Pikyr is out of Wyrm Counterspells.   Osmium King’s Turn! He flies next to Pikyr, and 3 attacks, 216 damage.   Pikyr casts Heal. Counterspelled by Hazel, and it’s gone.   Marr is up. DI, and using the Stars Are Aligned boon.
Marr: “Alright Holocene, you dumbass. Make my spell 15 feet longer than it would otherwise be.”
Mass Heal at 75 foot range. Success. To Caelam, Lani, and Hazel. Gavel of the Mountainheart: 34 to hit, 21 to not. 18 bludgeoning, 12 thunder, 6 radiant, 15 necrotic/radiant/cold.   Jo’s is back, as Gat. Welcome back, Gat. It's revealed they've been a Changling this whole time. She flies in, and CRITS HAHAHHAHAHHAHAAAA! FINAL RUBY! YES! She drives Wyrmsbane into Pikyr’s heart.   Pikyr: “No! No! I-- I wish, I could live, forever!” Pikyr collapses to the ground.   A moment of silence as everyone waits. Ao stands up and disappears.
Io: “Alright, good fight! I’ll see you around!”   The dome starts to fade. The curling shadows stop and curls towards Pikyr. “We’ve got you, Pikyr," they say. "For everything you’ve done."   A draconic head made of red shadow rises up. “No longer will I stay in the shadows of Aurlus Solaris. I take my leave and the war of the court with me!”   As Pikyr is pulled into the shadows. The opened wounds spill gold out. That’s a lot of gold. What the hell. As Pikyr leaves a trail of hundreds of thousands of gold coins, they are dragged into the shadows. 11 scales of Hamarut shimmer once more...

After the Battle

  Hazel leans against Marr.
Hazel: “Holy shit.”
Vaz takes some pieces of Pikyr into his bag of holding. Everyone gets a shard of Hamarut.   A modron appears. “Hi, I’m Gary. Listen here guys, I’m from Mechanus. We have identified this as a trouble-matic point in the convergence of all timelines. Weird that so many people can wish at once. The shards grant each of you a wish. So, me and the gang are gonna help you guys work out what you want so it doesnt destabilize the universe! I’m gonna guess the 11 of you each want a wish?” Marr wishes for tea. Make it the best cup of tea ever. Shard expended. In its place is a cup of tea. Marr sits.   Vaz wishes that the members of the Krigala Council are restored to their living, true forms.   Hazel wishes for X to be back, but it can’t be done.   Kinsara says, “I wish Vazhnyy to be able to exist exactly as she truly wants to.”   Gerard wishes to be immortal. Success!   Adrian wishes to have onomancy added to his spell list.   Cale asks for 30 Dex.   Hazel wishes for 25 Wisdom. (Editor's note: because she's the reasonable one.)   Lani wishes to understand the nature of the cosmos; how the universe was created. Big brain lore, basically. Auto success on arcana and history is granted.   Caelam wishes for his clan to be restored.   Jolene seizes the reigns of the Powder Smith, a title abandoned by Gerard, as a conduit for eldritch knowledge to create weapons never before imagined in the Material Plane. Jolene gained the skills and the know-how from Terra on creating weapons of mass destruction, now granted the ability to work on projects that will create more powerful arcane weapons.   Joana wishes that Rohini and all her doppelgangers are free from madness and can be forces for good in the world; free from the Symphony of Madness.   The End.
"Hey, man. Take the W."
