Captain Validar Zzzxaaxthroth (a.k.a. The Death Hand)
Validar grew up in the small frozen village of Helhovil in the Northernland region of Skalamyrr. His father Valthal and his mother Meccad left the Dragonborn homeland of Akadence to live in Helhovil because of the cooler climate. When Validar was 18 he left his family home to join The Crossbone Drifter crew in a means to escape poverty; this was protested greatly by his parents but he still left anyway.
The Drifters had a very strong sense of moral codes “Never steal from those in poverty, Kill only as a last resort and always keep your fellow crew men safe” on this crew Validar learnt of the god Amvian, God Of Storms.
One night the Ship was attacked by the pirate Unwin 'The Kraken' Payton, a High Elf and his crew The Black Sails. This came as a surprise to the Drifters since though thought the captains were best friends but one night Unwin betrayed Walker. Looting the ship and destroying all of the evidence Validar was left to die drifting in the ocean when a storm caught him and washed him up on a shore He has been searching for Unwin for the last 2 years

Personal history
Validar spent a while wandering aimlessly after the death of his crew eventually by chance he ran into the Wererat Investigation Bureau and had one of their allies stolen by Hags. Rising up to the challenges he joined them to fight the hags and realised that if he stuck with the group he would grow strong enough to avenge his crew.
Helping the WIB defeat the Devils invading Feakrith validar eventually got the chance to sail to the pirate Island. There he encountered the traitorous Ewin and the lord's plans to awaken a mighty Leviathan. Validar was able to defeat the monster with his allies and stood off against Payton in one final dual. Defeating Payton he Vowed to never let himself be chained and to charter his own destiny moving forward.
After this Validar made his way back to the home town that he had abandoned so long ago. Helping defeat the Frosts Giants Validar was able to make amends with his father and the party carried on their journeys.
Validar eventually pulled together the funds to build his own ship and promised that it would set sail once the party dealt with the illioss Clergy.
Validar proved essential in the final battle against Malon Bagsher providing enough healing to the group to keep them in the fight.
After the Events of Zriegast Validar returned to sea with his own crew to charter some of the unexplored regions.
Two years later he is made a Pirate Lord despite doing very little plundering... at least to ships that don't deserve it.
15 years later he discovered a mass of the sunken Gritian ships Nor'oken sunk had merged together to form a land mass. He and a couple of other pirates made the settlement of Shanty out of these wreckages.
