Abandoned as a hatchling in the wilds of the Kruvaria Kingdom, you were found and raised by the bounty hunter dwarf Dalomnor Grimtoe. You spent years working with Dalomnor as he taught you the tools of the trade. When it came for his time to retire you two parted ways leaving you by yourself to carry on your bounty-hunting duty as he retired to the capital city of Kruvaria Feakrith. Your latest contract is to find the bandit leader Byrne Mad Dog hiding out in the southern Taston region.

Personal history
Surgard joined the party while pursuing a lead for a bounty in the area despite failing to collect the bounty he still proved to be the sword of the party during their escapades
He had a habit of challenging every swordsman he met to a dual usual to lose in spectacular fashion but he only used it to motivate his growth going forward.
Surgards has always acted as the voice of mercy for the party. And is the first to pitch the morally right thing to do. Surgard however wasn't without his flaws his rampant alcoholism often hindered his judgment and made him prone to missing important information.
While travelling with his party he came across a cursed sword containing a vengeful spirit, he was able to beat this spirit and the two combined forces under the condition that Surgard returned to the sword's homeland and avenge its death at the hands of the nine-tailed fox. Surgard with the sword were able to help prevent the devil uprising in Feakrith and help Validar with his quest, but it became clear that Surgards drinking was limiting his potential. as there were memories he was repressing also his sword couldn't communicate with him while he was drunk. This resulted in Surgard dying to a crystal dragon, luckily Validar was able to bring him back to life.
When the party finally made their way to Shoyo, Surgard went through his biggest character arc learning to control his alcoholism and finding strength in his reasons to fight while his sword overcame its denial that it was murdered by its former general, not a monster. Together they both fully unlocked each other potential and Surgard was able to defeat the Shoguns Son and restore peace to Shoyo.
With his mind clear he and the party made their way to Akadance when Surgards origins were revealed to him. He learnt that he was a Darastrix Sepa and the reason his father died was getting his egg to safety from Tiamat Cultists. With his backstory clear he and his sword reached their full potential and working with their party defeated the spirit of the mightiest dragon in the land. Using its hoard to revitalise the Dragonborn community. Surgard at this point was considered a legendary swordsman.
After defeating Malon Bagsher Surgard buried his sword so that it could finally be at peace. He then served as Bahamut champion seeking out and destroying any Tiamat cult that would arise. as he got later in his years he set up a sword training school in Akadance to train the next generation of swordsmen.
