Galinndan Character in Dyrn | World Anvil

Galinndan

Syr Galinndan

Galindann was a child of the fey, born to an Elven mother and an Eladrin father. Conceived during a great malestrom which saw his parents trapped on the Shield Coast of the Terrenosi subcontinent, his parents were faced with an impossible choice - remain on the Coast, thus abandoning their genehed and drastically shortening their own lives, or returning to their homes once the storms lifted, abandoning both their love for each other and their newborn child, or to remove Galindann from his own genehed, cursing him to a short and mortal life.   Ultimately, Galindann's parents chose to stay. Both skilled warriors in their own right, they enlisted in the Regular Army of the Shield, choosing a life of service to the community which had taken in both themselves and their son. But for Galindann they hoped for something more, instilling in him the ways of the warrior and eventually putting him forward as a squire to the Militant Order of the Shield.   Galindann thrived within the austere walls of the Fortress of Caerhys. Serving his Knight Master faithfully, Galindann was dubbed Syr in his 85th year. His parents, elderly by then, nonetheless lived long enough to celebrate this achievement, passing from old age soon after.   A skilled and fearsome warrior, Galindann combines the martial training of the Militant Order of the Shield with his Eladrin heritage on the battlefield. New to command, Galindann finds himself in a world where the ancient rules and code he adheres to may not always serve him well, and he must reconcile his place in the world, and his beliefs, with these challenging new circumstances.

Flaws

Skin with seasons

His more pale with winter more golden with summer more orange with autumn and I can't think of a good one for spring outside of maybe abit green

Autumn

What if they suddenly begin to see everyone around them dying? "Shedding their leaves" so to speak? And look at their own skin to see it wrinkling and discolouring?

Winter

Okay, so maybe instead winter the fear aura they see in your face the images of their loves ones dying, or their own death approaching.

Lying lifeless on icy ground.

Winter - your companions feel alert, energised, as cool air seems to fill their lungs. But those who are afraid of you feel their joints sieze with the cold as you stare at the with eyes like glaciers.

Spring

Spring - I'm thinking the fear aura is like they see a crown of thorny vine lives or antlers extending from your head, dripping in blood, but for your allies, they feel comforted, as if they;ve just consumed a fine meal.

Summer

If your season is summer, those within your protective aura feel like a light summer breeze is washing over them. Sword blades are turned away by gusts of wind, for instance. But those in your fear aura see your eyes burning like coals, they feel their flesh peeling as if caught in a wildfire.
