The Dragon

The Dragon1 was a large, flying monster that caused a great deal of suffering and destruction over across Dragonía for centuries, specifically in Ela'k Forest, the Plain of Kings and to lesser extent the Sjorg Desert, before disappearing around 300 years ago. The fall of the Órax Empire and Móerkel civilization, dissolution of the Útel Alliance, and emergence of Ameder, Mörkel and Þrihak cultures all came to be because of this creature.
The Dragon was unique in that it did not evolve like the rest of Dragonía's beings, but was somehow formed during the cataclysm that destroyed civilization and scoured the land on the central continent. This event was the result of the Brariians attempting to weaponize the Kújet System -a technology used to manipulate magic without the need for mages- against their Móerkels, who had colonized the former and treated them harshly, but the system backfired.
In addition to attacking settlements, people and livestock, the creature's mere presence caused sickness in all living beings and made the soil it touched infertile as it absorbed arcane energies from its surroundings. Whenever it had its fill of destruction or was wounded by the people -something which became more common as time went on- it returned to its lair in the central wasteland.
It is unknown what became of the Dragon after its five hundred years of rampage.

Basic Information

Anatomy

The creature had a serpent-like body, with spikes on the top of the head and along the back, and two pairs of large wings similar to those on a bat, each with two digits, and were used to walk with while on the ground.
The head was small relative to the body, with solid green eyes, lacking pupils and sclera, and a large mouth equipped with six sharp teeth on each jaw.
Unlike other Dragonían vertebrates, the Dragon had olive-green, mildly acidic blood, which could cause blindness and numbness to any creature it touched. Another oddity was the pale green aura surrounding the creature, caused by it constantly absorbing the surrounding arcane energy.
