Princess Jinyat Yixing-Jiumin (a.k.a. Yat, First Daughter of the Empire)
Princess Yixing-Jiumin Jinyat is the oldest daughter of Emperor Yixing-Jiumin Jinsen, the daughter of Consort Gwanjiyan Annelia, and the younger half-sister of Crown Prince Yixing-Jiumin Jinhai. Princess Jinyat is quite beautiful, as well as very intelligent and talented. She follows imperial etiquette faithfully, and is polite and obedient - a model imperial princess. The noble ladies of Sendoshi all admire and adore her, and the competition between them to match her with one of their sons is intense. On the other hand, some of her younger sisters are jealous of her, especially Princess Jintu and Princess Jinsam, the two closest in age to Princess Jinyat, neither of whom is as pretty, smart, or talented as her, nor as favored by their father.
Physical Description
General Physical Condition
Though fairly tall for a princess of Senyon, Princess Jinyat is slender and slight of build. Though she is quite healthy, having access to the best medical care and food available in Senyon, she is not strong or agile. She is quite dextrous, however, and has good hand-eye coordination, which aid her in performing handcrafts, at which she is very skilled.
Facial Features
Princess Jinyat is considered one of the most beautiful young women of Senyon. She has a nearly perfectly symmetrical, oval face with fine features and a long, graceful neck. Her eyes are especially striking, large and soft. Her hair is long, thick, and jet black. Her maids keep her perfectly dressed and made-up at all times.
Apparel & Accessories
Princess Jinyat usually dresses in the finest and most stylish clothes that can be had in Senyon, befitting the oldest daughter of the Emperor. Her hair is elaborately styled and pinned in beautiful and expensive hairpieces, and she is expertly made up. Unlike her younger sister Jintu, however, Jinyat will dress casually when doing so makes sense, as when she is painting or staying home in her compound within the imperial palace.

Personal history
Princess Jinyat was born to Consort Gwanjiyan Annelia just a few months after the birth of Crown Prince Yixing-Jiumin Jinhai to Empress Nehualu Hanna. As the two oldest children of Emperor Yixing-Jiumin Jinsen, they have been favored by the Emperor. Princess Jinyat and Prince Jinhai are somewhat similar in personality, quite intelligent, sticklers for following the imperial rules of etiquette, polite and kind, but a bit socially awkward on occasion. Growing up together, they are quite close, and Jinyat adores her older half-brother, and he also admires and enjoys her company more than the company of the other princesses. If Princess Jinyat has a fault, it is that she often gets annoyed with some of her younger sisters, especially Jintu and Jinsam. Jintu's and Jinsam's arrogance and bullying of those with lower status annoy Princess Jinyat to no end, and she often scolds them, but to no avail. Princess Jinyat is one of the few among the consorts, princesses, and noble ladies of Sendoshi that does not despise Lady Britta Nilsson and her sister Amalie Nilsson.
Princess Jinyat secretly admires Seven, the Crown Princes' bodyguard and assistant. She has not made any overt gestures to make anyone aware of her admiration, as it would be highly inappropriate, but she has asked him to teach her some of the philosophy of the Gasyendithites and has professed an interest in learning more of it. Jinyat knows that her mother, Consort Annelia, the Empress, the Empress Dowager, and her father, the Emperor, would never approve of her marriage to a commoner bodyguard, so she dares not show any more interest than that, for fear that she could jeopardize Seven's career or even his life.
Princess Jinyat is considered well into her marriageable years in Senyon, and like her older brother, she suffers from the pressure that the Empress and the Empress put on them to get married as soon as possible. Many young men of the nobility are seeking a romantic relationship with her, but so far, none interest her. All of them, in her eyes, are nothing but status-seekers and social climbers, looking to increase the status of their families or get hold of her wealth, not interested in her as a person at all. On the other hand, she sees Seven as completely genuine and unaffected by status or wealth, and she has fallen for him because of that.
Education
Princess Jinyat is very well educated and a serious and talented student, the equal of her older brother, Crown Prince Yixing-Jiumin Jinhai. She reads and writes Sudkou fluently, can do calculations and keep accounts, and has been taught the history of Senyon. She is also a talented artist, a painter, embroiderer, and seamstress. She has studied under the imperial cooks and is able to prepare tasty meals. In short, she is an ideal young woman and princess by the standards of the Imperial Family of Senyon.
Intellectual Characteristics
Princess Jinyat is honest, kind, and empathetic. She follows the rules laid down by her strict family and believes everyone else should also. She is somewhat rigid in her thinking. Her younger sisters are jealous of her popularity with the older members of the imperial family and nobility and think she is a flatterer and a prude. In fact, she believes the rules have been laid down for good reasons and follows them willingly. She is quite intelligent and reasonable most of the time, but she gets annoyed with her younger sisters when they are catty or bullying.

Very aware of her station as the eldest daughter of the Emperor and the Gwanjiyan clan of her mother, Consort Gwanjiyan Annelia, Princess Jinyat is fastidious about hygiene, especially when appearing in public. Her maids make sure she is dressed stylishly, but not gaudily, in silk dresses appropriate for the occasion. Her hair is also styled and pinned with expensive, but not overly flashy jewelry, and her make-up is done expertly to highlight her beauty, but not to stand out inappropriately.

Princess Jinyat is still young, and she tends to be bookish like her older brother, Crown Prince Jinhai, so she can be a little socially awkward at times, but she is unfailingly polite and follows the rules of imperial etiquette faithfully, so she is well liked by the consorts and noble ladies of the capital. As she matures, she is becoming more confident and a better conversationalist.
Wealth & Financial state
Princess Jinyat's wealth cannot be conventionally measured. As a princess of Senyon, she has everything she needs, and more, provided for her. She receives a sizeable monthly stipend from the imperial treasury, and her father, the Emperor, gifts her occasionally with gold, silver, silk, fine cloth, furs, jewelry, and more. In addition, the Emperor has given her, alone among all of his daughters, her own palace within Liliakinyosa, the Palace of Tranquil Peace, which lies just outside the gate to the Garden of Tranquil Peace. The Emperor has also granted her several maids and eunuchs to help her maintain her palace and take care of her needs. Other than Princess Jinyat, only his most favored, high-ranking consorts and concubines are favored in this way. None of his other daughters have been, or are likely to be.
