Last Hope Holdout
Last Hope ruffles a lot of feathers in the council, but pays enough taxes for them to settle down.
The uniquely named Last Hope Holdout is an oddity in the Aemark Kingdom. A previously free port in the Cirith Archipelago, it was captured by Aemark a century ago (and used to tax sea routes that pass through the South Sea). The official name is Venflakire, but the port's residents stubbornly refuse to acknowledge the new name.
