Shadowkissed Infliction

Shadowkissed is a terrible bioweapon virus that has the potential to kill hundreds of thousands of paranormals in a week. It is a bioweapon created by Ignatius Williams through the use of experimentation with hybrid blood and warsworn venom. Once Ignatius was comfortable with working virus, he implemented it into patient zero's body, which was the perfect vessel for the virus to thrive and be transmitted from. It is unknown who patient zero is, yet the virus first spreads in the Storm Pack.

Transmission & Vectors

The second host's bodily fluids can be transmitted by intimate contact, blood infusions, plasma infusions, etc. Once the host learns about their condition, they may be obligated to quarantine themselves away from their loved ones as to not spread the virus. Other hosts, who have been infected by the main host, may not even realize that they have been infected.

Symptoms

The FIRST STAGE symptoms to appear usually start with aches and chills, settling into fevers and horrible coughs. At the SECOND STAGE, black veins begin to appear on the hands, feet, and around the eyes, and necrosis starts to effect the first layers of skin tissue. Usually, the infected with drop into a coma. By the THIRD AND FINAL STAGE, the necrosis has eaten away a large portion of their skin and most of their muscle and is moving into the organs. The black veins has snaked their way across the body, aiming directly for the heart. By the time they reach the heart, the infected is dead.

Treatment

It is unknown what the cure is. The closest one has come is a set of weak antibodies from the main host carrier. Yet, that can only go on for so long before it would end up getting the host carrier killed due to a weak immune system.

Patient zero is the only being able to carry the virus without getting sick.

Prevention

To avoid catching the deadly virus, one must avoid contact with others, not share meals/drinks, train on their own, shower alone (especially after training and always disinfect area), etc.

Epidemiology

The virus originated in the Storm Pack General Hospital, where a nurse dropped a vial of blood, shattering it. She went to clean is up, only to cut her finger on the glass. From there, the infected blood traveled through her system, and without her knowing it, she kissed her mate and started to spread the virus.

Cultural Reception

While it is unknown who patient zero is, talk spread throughout the Storm Pack of the person who brought the virus into the confined city. Each conversation only bred malice and contempt toward patient zero, with most wanting to kill the person responsible for even carrying the virus.
