History of Somnium Reach

The construction of the offshoot hive, Catrakas Secondis begins. Environmental complexities and political debate delay further construction for several years after.

The first major invasion of the orks came like a storm, the onslaught of greenskins appearing across the world. A large scale attack on the PDF headquarters caused mass casualties and the retreat of any remaining soldiers within the facility.  Losing their already tenuous communications with the other continents, the people of Minin were left to fight for themselves.

With the increasingly severe ork attacks, the Torlan Hammers were called in to aid. The heavy weapons and ruthless tactics of the Torlans were effective at pushing back the orks, but at the cost of several civilian casualties. Five weeks after their arrival, the infamous Massacre of Ormun lead to the deaths of an entire village at the hands of a Torlan heavy tank, ever since, relations between the Torlans and their hosts have been strained.

With the ongoing war against the orks, the full force of the Olicanan Guard was returned to duty on their homeworld, using their trained skills to aid the faltering PDF's numbers.

With the growing severity of ork weapons, the Fourth Ork Assault was marked by the discovery of true ork war machines. The local forces immediately went about deploying armoured regiments of tanks and their own war machines to launch a full counter-attack. For the first time since the wars start, the people of Olicana were able to bring about retribution as one of the orks greatest strongholds, Hevy Casol, was destroyed by the combined might of the Olicanan Guard and the Torlan Hammers.
