Prince Argo Draconis
Prince Argo Draconis
Prince Argo Draconis was born in 2682 DE and was the firstborn son of King Amon Draconis and Queen Alta Draconis. He had a young brother named Almit Draconis. He was of Dragonborn descent. Argo commanded Etor a powerful dragon. His uncle was Prince Adaon Draconis. Argo worshipped Odar the god of fire. He was also a member of the Followers of the Flame.Childhood of a Prince
Argo was commonly called the most intelligent man in the Draconis family. At a young age, he excelled in school. His father, Amon, ensured his son was well-read and knew everything he needed to know to become a good king. For the first 7 years of his life, Argo's grandfather, King Aithne, was alive. King Aithne preferred to use magic rather than a sword and focussed on teaching Argo his magical powers. Argo, at a young age, attended the school of Arcane Society in Dragonstar, and later became a powerful warlock. Though the Draconis Family was at war during his childhood, Argo's grandfather, King Aithne, Argo's father Amon, and his uncle Prince Adaon Draconis found time to train Argo to use a sword. Becoming a very skilled swordsman and won many tournaments at a young age.His Grandfather's Death
Growing a solid connection with his grandfather King Aithne, Argo, by age 7, already showed significant signs of wanting to become a great ruler with a good head on his shoulders. King Aithne once said, " My sons Amon and Adaon are the strength of my army, but my grandson Argo holds the intelligence of the entire Draconis Empire.". Everything changed for Argo when King Aithne was killed during the Battle of Dragonport In 2689 DE. When the news arrived in Dragonfall that his grandfather had died, the young prince was devastated. When he also found out that his father Amon sent his uncle Adaon home to Dragow he was frustrated with his father. For Argo, everything he lived with had been destroyed in just a few days. He searched for why his father relieved Adaon of his military duties. A few weeks later, he heard roamers that his father let King Aithne die in a fight with an ancient dragon named Klauth. He quickly defended his father and said that it couldn't be true because Amon loved his father. Argo spent the rest of his childhood in depression and confusion.Years of Silence
Through the years 2690 and 2700 DE, Argo had grown into a young man. At age 18, Argo had traveled throughout Daledon, reading every book he could get his hands on. He learned about almost every battle throughout the history of Daledon and its myths and legends. He also read about stories of the land undiscovered. During these ten years on his own, Argo impressively did not draw his sword once. Avoiding conflicts by using magic or by using his cunningness. Tales of his journey spread throughout Incednium and was given the nickname The Prince of Deception.Peace in the Realm
With The Dragon War coming to an end, King Amon is finally able to return home to Dragonfall where he reconnects with his now adult son Argo. When Argo finally sees his father, he notices something has changed. Amon tells Argo about his new crown, The Crown Of Wishes. Fascinated with this new magical crown Argo asks his father if he could borrow the crown to study it. His father becomes very defensive and says, "No, only I can touch the crown.". Being a member of the Arcane Society , Argo quickly realizes that the crown had powerful magical powers and could possibly alter the wearer's mind.Son of The Corrupt King
11 ADW, the corrupt war begins. Argo watches as his Father spirals out of control. Argo tries to stop his father from invading Vastor. He explains that starting another war is not what the Draconis Empire should focus on. Years of fighting in The Dragon War has left Incendium and the rest of Daledon in an economic decline. Using most of its resources in the war, the Draconis Empire was vulnerable. With little resources left in the stockpile, Argo is concerned that starting a war will cause a famine for Incendium's citizens. Amon ignores his son's suspicions and invades Vastor. For the first two years of the war, the Draconis Empire failed to gain significant ground. Argo tries to change his father's mind about war, but the The Corrupt War continues. In 13 ADW King Amon Draconis uses The Crown Of Wishes to gain control over the surviving dragons of the Cult of Klauth. The wish is successful, and dragons begin to obey Amon's command. Amazed by what the crown could do, Argo tried to learn more about this mysterious crown. At this point, Amon had become obsessed with the crown and did not share any information about the crown with his son. Argo investigated the origin of the crown and was led to believe that Gulbek Frostchin might be able to tell him more about the crown. Amon tells his son about his dreams of the dragon called Klauth, the dragon that caused the chaos during the Dragon War. He explained that in these dreams, Klauth returns from the dead and terrorizes the world once more. Amon tells Argo that it is Amon's duty to prepare for Klauth's return. Argo is unsure if he believes his father but pretends to side with him. In 18 ADW, Amon built 1000 ships to invade Eathlain; Argo agrees to lead the naval troops northeast to Eathlain. But secretly, he wants to take a few ships north to Dun Doral to speak to Gulbek Froshin about the crown. Argo's plan backfires, and he is forced into the battle of The Drowning at Walsgue. Argo manages to escape death with the help of his dragon Etor. Argo returns to Dragonfall to tell his father of this terrible naval defeat. A few days later, The Burning of Three Cities happens. Argo favors this attack as vengeance for the 700 men he lost at sea but does not realize the real reason Amon attacks is because of a dream he had of theOsivia Empire preparing a ritual to bring back Klauth. Argo stays in Dragonfall and helps his father plan his next attack. The Morning Everything Changed
In 19 ADW, on a sunny summer morning, chaos erupts in the grand hall as a group of mysterious men kill the King's guards. Moving their way up to the room where Queen Alta Draconis sleeps. Alta wakes up to find a man standing over her at her bed. With a dagger drawn, a dazed and confused Alta asks, "Who are you? What are you doing in my room? Leave at once! Guards! Arrest this man!" there was no response. Moments later, down the hall, Almit Draconis hears his mother's screams from her room. Almit quickly rushes to her room, opens the door, and finds his mother on her bed with blood dripping from her body onto the floor. Almit quickly runs down the hall, screaming for help. He finally finds a guard, pulls at his armor, and says, "Help me, help me! My mother has been killed". The guard turns around and says to Almit, "I know." The guard then pulls out his sword, looks at the boy, and stabs him in the neck. During all this, Argo is outside training with some young boys in the basics of sword fighting. Suddenly, in the corner of his eye, Argo notices a man run at him with a sword drawn. Argo manages to dodge the man's attack and cuts him down with one swing of his sword. As Argo retrieves his sword from the bloody corpse, a boy standing in front of him suddenly is hit in the head with an arrow. Argo quickly turns around and runs inside the keep. He runs to the grand hall, where he finds several bloody corpses. He continues to run up the stairs, where he finds his brother Almit dead on the floor. Argo falls to his knees, holding his brother in his arms while crying. After a few moments, Argo hears men running up the stairs at the end of the hall. He gets up and runs down the other direction towards his mother's room. He turns into his mother's room, where he also finds her dead on the bed. For a moment, he has a breakdown. His moment with his mother is cut short as three men wearing hoods and masks stand in the doorway with weapons drawn. Argo has nowhere to go. He sets one of the men on fire with a fire spell as the other two men charge Argo. He runs towards a window and jumps out; as he jumps, he is caught by his Dragon Etor. Etor and Argo flee east to Isahil .A Prince In Exile
Months after the assassination attempt on his life, Argo is trying to find his way in Isahil. Argo conceals who he is by wearing a hood for as long as he can until one day, he bumps into an advisor of the king on a business trip. The man quickly notices who Argo is and creates a scene on the streets of the market district of Isahil. Argo is forced to reveal himself by killing the man. Argo tries to gain power in Isahil for the rest of the year. Isahil, being an Eleven-dominated city, is not the best city to try to get support in. But he tries to convince the human citizens to help him. At the time, Argo is unaware of who the men that killed his brother and mother are. In 20 ADW, Argo is able to grow powerful in Isahil. Argo also finds out the men who attacked him a year ago were hired by the Protectors of the Realm along with the help from the Osivia Empire. Argo gathers citizens in the hall of Isahil and shares the information he has found out. The citizens of Isahil are disgusted with the protectors of the realm and swear their support to Argo. Argo's power grows, and is able to muster a sizeable force. But Argo knows that the protectors of the realm are an intelligent group with many people in their pockets, so Argo treads lightly. If At First, You Don't Succeed Try Try Again
Over the next couple of months, after Argo announced that the protectors of the realm were trying to kill Argo, the Protectors of the Realm try to assassinate Argo in Isahil several times. None of these attempts were successful. The protectors of the realm eventually stop their attempts, after one attempt fails miserably with five innocent citizens being killed. Argo sends a message to his father asking for his aid. King Amon never receives this message. At the same time, King Amon also sends Argo a message asking for his aid. Argo never gets this message either. Waiting for his father's reply, Argo builds his army.Revolūtiōnem
At the end of 20 ADW, tensions rose between the elven and human citizens of Isahil. The elven citizens are against aiding Argo for the acts of his father during the The Burning of Three Cities . On the other hand, humans support Argo as their leader in Isahil because they are angry about the humans who were killed during The Drowning at Walsgue. During this time, the tension between humans and elves in Daledon was at an all-time high. All it would take is one tiny brawl for a new war to begin. Such a brawl happens one night at a tavern where Argo is at. Argo habing too much to drink becomes violent towards an elf who said he has a cousin in Eathlain who fought in the naval battle in the Walsgue Sea. Argo, in his drunken state, punches this man. For a few seconds, there is complete silence in the tavern. Moments later, all hell breaks loose. After the fight is over, four elves and three humans were killed. Argo was able to make it home safely that night. The following day Argo was woken up by a bottle that was thrown through his bedroom window. Argo walks up to the window and sees an angry mob of elves outside. The elves noticed Argo was home and started to try to break in. Argo outnumber, was thinking of what he could do. Suddenly, he heard one of the elves outside scream. He ran to the window and noticed a group of humans fighting the elves. Argo joins the fight and quickly rid of the elves. Blood-soaked and filled with fury, Argo takes a breath and slowly walked toward the keep of Isahil, his men followed. Argo makes it inside the castle. He looked around and shouted, "Where is Jannalor Shacan?!" (Jannalor is the Thane of Isahil). To the left, Argo saw a tall, skinny elf; the elf approached Argo angrily and said, " What is the meaning of this?!" Jannalor and Argo argued for a while; as they argued, Argo grew annoyed listening Jannalor talk. Suddenly, in a blink of an eye, Argo drew his sword and cut off Jannalor's head. The King's Death Brings New Meaning to Argo's Life
The citizens of Isahil have been at war with each other for weeks. Week by week, more elves flee the city. Eventually, mostly all elves in Isahil fled to nearby cities. Argo was crowned the new thane and took complete control of Isahil. For a while, Argo enjoyed a life of ruling the city. Argo sent another letter to his father in Dragonfall to let him know that Argo supports him and is ready to fight in his name. On the 5th day of Othar in the year 21 ADW, A man wearing Draconis armor riding a horse arrived in Isahil. The man shouted, "The King is dead, the King is dead! Corruption is over!" Argo suddenly appeared from a building and walked up to the man. Argo asked the man what was going on. The man said, " The Corrupt King is dead! Killed by his brother!". After hearing these words, Argo dropped his sword and blankly stared into the distance clouds. Those words will haunt Argo for the rest of his life.Preparing for War
After the news of his father's death, Argo would spend the next two years building an army big enough to storm the capital and rid Daledon of the traitor king, Adaon. In Isahil, Argo manages to set up his regime; from Isahil, Argo successfully knows he can build upon an army. He quickly sends messengers to nearby cities. Soon, he gains several allies and gathers a sizeable force of nearly 30k men. Out of these men, Argo hand-picks a few soldiers who would become his personal guard. His personal guard would also become important figures in the battles to come. Argo uses his personal guard to help train his new army and openly recruits new soldiers. During this period, Argo also fell in love with a human female named Miarel Neidra , who is the daughter of a powerful judge of the Draconis Empire named Johnathan Neidra who worked and lived in Isahil. By 23 ADW, Argo had grown his army to 50K troops. Argo believes that with his wisdom and sound strategy, he may be able to storm the gates of Dragonfall. He begins to make battle plans and promotes some personal guards to help lead his army. At this point, his personal guard grows to 25 soldiers, with nine of these guards becoming his closest allies. These allies will later be coined the Brotherhood of the Dragon. Plans are made for 3 battles. Argo's first attack will be on the city of Drodon; at Drodon lies an ancient bridge over the Coalburn River that separates the Dragonborn cities from the rest of Incendium. Argo realized that the war's first battle would be fought at this bridge. Argo gathers his troops and marches west. leaving 5k troops to defend IsahilA Bridge to Victory
As Argo and his troops arrive at the Coalburn River, they find the bridge raised, stopping Argo's army in its tracks. He then tasks a few members of his personal guard to cross the river and find a way to lower the bridge. The army sets up camp near the river and waits for these soldiers to lower the bridge. Argo is shocked by the lack of men guarding the bridge and knows once the bridge is lowered, his army will have no problem getting to the city. For the next couple of hours, Argo and his Army eagerly wait for the brave men to lower the bridge.Lowering a Bridge
Crossing the river and into a sewer pipe found near the bride, Shaakti and Danos, two men from Argo's personal guard, make their way through and hope that the sewer path will lead somewhere near the location of the bridge. Reports later found about the war described one of these men to have been a humanoid hippo creature who stood over 7 feet tall. A few hours later, with stealth and a bit of luck, these men are able to lower the bridge successfully. Argo's army quickly pacts up and begins to cross the river. At first, the army is met with little resistance, making quick work of the guards stationed at the bridge. Reinforcements coming from Drodon arrive at the bridge, and a small battle commenced between the Draconis troops and Argo's forces. Argo's army is able to easily defeat these reinforcements and continued to march towards the city while Argo left on his dragon, ignoring Shaakti, who tried to hand him the enemies war plans.Battle of Drodon
A day later, after the successful crossing of the Coalburn River, Argo's army reached Drodon. At the time, Drodon was the home of King Adaon Draconis's most trusted general Drakon Hilspring and was lord of Drodon. Argo knew that defeating Drakon would let his army move one step closer to Dragonfall and weaken King Adaon's military abilities. Later in the day, the battle of Drodon began, with with the new ballistas fromEathlain fortifying the city. Argo choose to not attack with his dragon and instead led his men towards the city's walls. Argo's troops eventually reached the city walls and began to climb them. A great battle broke out as Argo's men fought ruthlessly against the city guards. A few hours later, Argo's army opened the main gate to the city. As the army made its way through the city it was met with heavy resistance. Several reports from journals of men during the battle explain that they had never seen a single man kill so easily before. Argo filled with rage, carved a path forward for his army. By midday Argo and his army were able push back the guards of the city to just outside the inner city wall in which it protected the castle of Drodon. As Argo and his men hack through the countless waves of guards, they eventually reached the inner city's gate. There, Drago and his men struggled to open the gate because it was heavily fortified by the troops within the walls. Reports from men at the battle say they saw both Shaakti and Danos, the same men who stealthily raised the bridge just outside the city, got behind enemy lines by donning Drodon armor. They quickly killed the men holding the gate closed and opened the gate for Argo and his army. Once again Argo walked past them without a word. The Execution of Drakon
After a few groups of Argo's soldiers rushed through the gates of the inner walls, Argo stormed through the gates. As he entered the castle's courtyard, he began to scream, "Where are you, coward! Show your self Drakon". While waiting for Drakon to emerge, Argo ordered a few soldiers to search the castle of Drakon. After a few minutes of searching the castle, a set of guards drug Drakton out of the castle and into the castle's courtyard where Argo stood. Drakon started cursing and swearing at Argo. Drakon's last words to Argo were, "I wish they would have killed you like the rest of your piece of shit family; you do not deserve the crown. The crown is not yours. You will destroy Daledon". Argo draws his sword, angrily swung at Drakon, cutting off his head. After successfully taking over Drodon, Argo and his army set up a base of operations in the castle; for a few weeks, they gathered more supplies and prepared for the next phase of the war.A Ghost Town
Argo believes the next battle will take place at Dragow and sent a few scouts to Dragow to scout out the city's defenses. When the scouts arrived, they found the entire city abandoned. The scouts returned to Drodon and told Argo of the disappearance of the people of Dragow. Argo took Etor, and a few of his guard to Dragow to explore the city. Once they arrived they found no one, with most of the city's supplies gone also. Argo sent word back to Drodon to mobilize the troops and head to Dragow. Argo's army was again on the move and headed north towards Dragonfall; his army successfully flanked around the Dredford and managed not to engage in combat with the heavily fortified castle. Instead, they heard northwest towards Dragow. A few days later, Argo's army arrived in Dragow. At Dragow, Argo received a message from Miarel Neidra proclaiming that she is pregnant with his child. To Good To Be True
On the 5th day of Ohius, just two days after Argo's Army arrived in Dragow, the army was woken up from the sounds of catapults, Dragow was ambushed by the Draconis Army. Unprepared and unfamiliar with the city, Argo's Army was at a disadvantage. But King Adaon Draconis made one big mistake: he did not factor in Argo's dragon. Argo ordered Etor to attack the Draconis forces and easily defeated them. But not before Argo had lost over 5k troops. After this attack, Argo's military forces was now at 32k after the forces lost at Drodon and now Dragow. He quickly sent offers to nearby cities to convince the citizens to join his army. Very few joined which left Argo with no choice but to hire Orcish mercenaries from Ugno. With his new army of Orchish mercanaries Argo's forces grew to over 60K troops a sizeable force for a unorganized army.Tragedy At Night
At night, after the ambush at Dragow, a rider appeared in the distance. As the man on the horse appeared closer to the city's gates, a guard stationed in a watchtower just above the gates shouted out, "Who approaches? Identify yourself." The man on the horse shouts, "I am a soldier stationed at Isahil. The city was attacked, we were ambushed, King Adaon now controls the city. I bring word to Argo, I must speak to him." The guard opened the gate for the man, who continued galloping towards the city's castle. When the man arrived in the dining hall, he interrupts Argo, who was eating and confronts him. "Argo sir, Isahil was attacked; King Adaon controls the city. Most of the men there were killed. I bring terrible news, my lord. Miarel is dead. Killed by an Assassin wearing the Mark of the Traitors. I'm so sorry, my lord". Argo dropped his fork in his hand, looked up at the man, slowly stood up, and walked over to him. As he approached the man, he slowly and quietly asked, "Is what you say true? Is my Miarel dead?" Terrified of what Argo would do next, the man slowly nods and said, "Ye ye ye yes my lord, she was..." Before the man could finish his sentence, Argo's sword pierced through his stomach. The man looked at Argo, who was now filled with rage, and fell to the ground, where he would bleed out and die a few moments later. Argo stormed off and headed to his chambers. Argo's army was left with no sense of direction for the next week. Many started to question if the war they had been part of was worth it, some even secretly left the city. The Prince Re-emerges
After a week of no one seeing Argo, Argo finally made an appearance. Argo slowly made his way out of the castle and into the courtyard. His men slowly looked towards him and began to gather around him. Soon, Argo was surrounded by his men and his closest allies. Looking around, Argo began a speech: "Just a few years ago, my mother, my father, and my brother were murdered. Murdered by the traitor who now sits on the throne, killed by the men who walk in the shadows, cowardly attacking those I love. Its enough, I am done playing games, Adaon must die, The Protectors of the Realm and their assassins must die. Can i count on you men? Shall we march upon the capital and lay siege upon it? shall we defeat their army and rule Incendium? Will you fight in my name? I promise you, fight in my stead, and I will reward each one of you. Together we can rule Incendium. What say you? Shall we march?". Suddenly a loud chant was heard, "ARGO ARGO ARGO ARGO" As Argo looked around and saw everyone chanting his name, he gave an evil grin and said, "Let kill us some traitors."A March to the Capital
A few days later, after Argo's speech, Argo and his army began to march from Dragow, around Dragonport and into the forest just outside the capital Dragonfall. As they made their way to the forest. Argo's army set up camp before the siege of the city. As they camp out in the forest, Argo tasked Shaakti and Danos to infiltrate the city and attempt to assassinate the king. Argo explained that he does not wish to rule over a destroyed city but rather would like to cut off the head of the snake and take control over a wealthy and powerful city. In the cover of night, the two men made their way to the city walls of Dragonfall.Assassination Gone Wrong
As Shaakti and Danos reached the city walls of Dragonfall, they noticed that the city was under tight security; when King Adaon ordered the citizens of Dragow to flee the city, Most of the people of Dragow fled to the capital, which boosted the city's defenses considerably. Still, Argo's elite soldiers made their way up the walls and into the outer city, which housed lower-class citizens. Therefore, they were less guarded. Shaakti and Danos easily made their way toward the city's first inner gate into the city's market district. The market district was heavily guarded by both guards of the city and soldiers of the Draconis Army. With stealth, Shaakti and Danos made their way through the market District unnoticed. As Shaakti and Danos made their way out of the market district and into the residential district, they ran into their first real obstacle; they made their way through the residential district but alerted nearby guards of their presence, putting all of the guards on alert. This forced them to move faster with less stealth through the Royal District. Suddenly, Shaakti and Danos ran into a group of soldiers camping outside an Inn; the two were quickly spotted, and one of the guards ran to sound the alarm. As the alarm started to go off, more guards began to surround Shaakti and Danos. A great fight commenced between the soldiers of the Draconis Army and Shaakti and Danos. As the fight continued, more and more Draconis soldiers appeared in the fight. Slowly, shaakti and Danos began to tire and retreated inside a building. In the far distance, sounds of all-out war could be heard. Argo and his men began the seige of Dragonfall. Shaakti and Danos were forced to barricade themselves inside the building, and tried to hold off the massive forces outside their barricade. For several hours, the two men were trapped inside the building with the sounds of war inching closer to them. An hour later, the building started to shake, and moments later, a roar from a mighty dragon was heard nearby. A few moments later, Etor (Argo's Dragon) flew over the building. Etor roared his fiery breath at the soldiers outside and onto the building, setting it ablaze. Suddenly, chaos erupted. Shaakti and Danos ran outside, where they saw the city that once looked peaceful, was now filled with fiery flames and death. As the two continued, they ran into hundreds of dead Draconis soldiers, some burning alive. Etor flew north to help his master, Argo. The two men took a moment to gather their strength and pushed forward. For Death or Vengeance
Soon, Shaakti and Danos found themselves just outside the royal dragon palace. It is there that the fight became the most intense. As more and more troops of Argo's army made their way to the palace they started to push the Draconis forces closer the the palace's entrance. After hours of fighting, Argo finally caught up to Shaakti and Danos. Argo could sense how close he was to victory. He went into a frenzy, cutting down dozens of men. As he pushed through his own men, he grabbed Shaakti and took him down a pathway. Together, the two pushed forward, disregarding their own troops in battle. As the two pushed forward, Argo began to become more and more furious. Cutting down enemies with his sword and casting powerful spells on others. The two finally reached the palace's gates. The two enter the palace and began to intensely fight the elite members of the Draconis Army. At this point, nothing could stop Argo. Filled with the will of Vengence and grief. Argo and Shaakti made their way up the stairs just outside the throne. Only a few soldiers stood in Argo's way of vengeance. Argo and Shaakti began combat against the leader of the king's guard and a few other guards. Argo easily slayed the guards, with only the king's guard leader standing in his way. Argo tells Shaakti to stand down and fought the leader of the king's guard himself. At first, the fight seemed to be even. But with Argo's powerful magic, he was able to kill him. As Argo went to open the doors to the throne room, he felt resistance on the other side of the door; with the help of Shaakti, they began to open the doors slightly. Suddenly, Argo thrusts his sword through the gap in the doors, piercing a guard holding the door closed. The doors open more, and as they did, Argo removed his sword from the guard and pushed him over with his boot. With the guard dead on the ground, Argo walked over the dead body, looked directly into King Adaon's eyes, and said, "Uncle, I'm home!".The Taste of Vengeance in the Air
As the King and his nephew finally met face-to-face, the tension in the throne room was intense; the two have not seen or talked to each other since Argo was a young boy. Back then, Argo had looked up to Adaon and enjoyed it when his uncle visited. Now Argo despised his uncle and believed he was both a traitor and a disgrace to the Draconis Empire. The two powerful men stood still and continued to stare at each other. Meanwhile, outside, Argo's dragon Etor and King Adaon Draconis's dragon Otad begin a epic battle, at the time both dragons were equally matched in power and size. Both Argo and Adaon felt this battle and began to converse in conversation. Adaon said, "Argo, glad you made it; you've grown into a strong man, look just like your father." Argo replied, " You mean the man you murdered?" Adaon said, "Your father was sick, Argo; his mind was corrupted. He needed to be stopped; he was going down a path of darkness from which he could not return. Did Amon ever tell you he heard Klauth talk to him? According to people I've talked to, he was continuously talking about Klauth. I saw it for myself. He blabbered on about how Klauth would return. He was obsessed with it. It consumed him; He started wars because of it. He torched inter cities; he murdered thousands of indecent people. He needed to be stopped." Agro, "what about my mother? My brother? Did they deserve to die? Were they sick, too? What about me? You knew me uncle; you knew who I was. I wanted to be a good king; I wanted the empire to thrive; I wanted to bring peace throughout Daledon. Tell me, uncle, did i deserve to die? By the mark on your wrist, you felt that way; you have the mark of the traitor; you destroyed my family. I am not a fool; I know you wanted the crown and power, and you were fine with backstabbing your brother. But now vengence will be mine; I shall avenge my father and mother. I shall revenge my brother. I, Argo Draconis, rightful ruler of Incendium, sentence you uncle to die; die by my hand and my hand only." Adaon responded, "Let it be so, nephew. I never wanted to be king, but I saw what your father was doing. He was going to doom us all, and now I realize I must also stop you. You have the same hatred in your eyes as your father. If I do not stop you, you will continue your father's work and destroy Daledon. I loved you like a son, Argo, but now you leave me no choice; I must stop you. For Incendium, for Daledon!" Adaon and Argo drew their swords and prepared for an epic final battle.A Duel for the Ages
As the two powerful leaders prepared to fight, Shaakti tried to convince Argo not to kill the king but rather imprison him and later put him on trial for killing his father. Argo once again ignored him and moved closer to Adaon, who had moved away from the throne, but from the corner of his eye he saw a strike from Shaakti coming. Shaakti then said "Your disrespect will be your doom, my guy!" Shaakti's attack was blocked by a magical force. Shocked that Argo blocked his attack, Shaakti stud there in disbelief. Argo knocked Shaakti back and casted a powerful spell that stopped him from moving. Argo said to the man, "I'll deal with you later." and headed towards Adaon. Filled with anger, Argo ran towards Adaon, and the two clashed swords. Meanwhile outside Argo's forces were able to push the Draconis forces back in the the halls of the Palace. Witnesses say they could hear the mighty battle that was taking place inside the throne room. The two powerful leaders cross swords for several minutes, with neither of them missing a step. Adaon said, "You fight like your father., quick and fierce." suddenly, a small fireball hit Adaon in his leg. Adaon said, "You also have the arcane ability of your grandfather. They have taught you well. It's a pity you will die; you could bring the Draconis Empire to glory. But you let your emotions determine your actions". Adaon took a powerful swing at Argo, slashing his left bicep. Argo steps back, lit his sword on fire, and quickly closed his wound. He then shot another fireball at Adaon, knocking him to the ground. Argo then quickly rushed Adaon, jumped in the air, and plunged his sword down towards Adaon. Adaon just barely moved out of the way and knocked Argo and his sword to the ground. Adaon then got on top of Argo and attempted to stab Argo in the chest with his sword. With magic, Argo stopped Adaon's sword. Adaon pushes his sword closer to Argo's chest. Argo struggles to push his uncle's sword away. Suddenly, Argo head-butts Adaon, knocking him back. Argo and Adaon gather their breath for the next few moments and get back up slowly. Once they are both on their feet, they again charge at each other and continue to fight.Avunculicide
As Argo and Adaon continued to fight. Argo's army pushed into the hall just outside the throne room. While that happened, Argo and Adaon continued to strike each other.
