Miarel Neidra
A Love Born from the Shadows
Mirael's upbringing in the echelons of Isahil's judiciary system had shielded her from the harsh realities of the outside world. Educated, beautiful, and refined, she was the embodiment of her family's legacy of justice and fairness. However, her heart yearned for something beyond the gilded cages of nobility and societal expectations. It was this yearning that drew her to Prince Argo Draconis, a charismatic leader whose ambitions were as grand as they were dark. Argo, known for his persuasive rhetoric and undeniable charm, presented a vision of the future that was irresistible to the young Mirael. In him, she saw the possibility of change and a passion that was missing from the structured life she led. Their love, born in secret and nurtured in the shadows, was a testament to the complex nature of the human heart, capable of finding solace in the most unexpected places. Her father, a powerful judge for the Draconis Empire, stood on the opposing side of Argo's ambitions, embodying the law and order that Argo sought to upend. The inevitable clash between Mirael's loyalty to her family and her love for Argo set the stage for a tragic turn of events.Argo's Control
Once Argo killed the thane of Isahil, Argo took complete control of the power in the city. Soon later, anarchy would rule the city. With this taking effect, Miarel's father began to fear for his own life, and was worried about losing his social status within the Empire. He quickly asked the Draconis Empire for help. But, because of his daughter's relationship with Argo, the empire refused to help him. They stated that his loyalty to the empire was being questioned. Unless he would do one simple task: turn a blind eye to the assassins the Protectors of the Realm were going to send to kill his daughter. Furious, he asked why they would do such a thing. They explained that they received word that Miarel was pregnant with Argo's child. In the long run, the protectors of the realm realized that if this child were able to be born, it would strengthen Argo's position once he inevitably took the throne. The Protectors of the realm offered him a handsome sum to simply let the assassins into the castle. They also promised him a promotion to become a Royal court member. Either out of lust for power or greed, Miarel's father agreed to help the assassins gain access to the castle. The Assassins' Blade
On the 5th day of Ohius, of the year 23 ADW, the assassins hired by the Protectors of the Realm, successfully assassinate Miarel, adding yet another tragic loss for Argo. The Assassins also killed Miarel's father. The protectors never intended to give such power to him and killed him in order to try to hide the assassination. The Draconis Empire also ambushed both the cities of Isahil and Dragow. They used the Ambush in Isahil to cover up their assassination, but their plan was spoiled when a soldier of Argo's army spotted the assassins right after. In the long run, yes the Draconis Empire and the protectors did succeed, but once word spread of the innocent women's death, many citizens of Incendium began to believe that the protectors were not on their side. This would lead to many cities of Incendium supporting Argo's ascension to the thrown because he promised to stop corruption throughout Daledon, starting with the Protectors of the Realm.
