Leonard Sewall works as a doorman at the Timbleton Arms and is very familiar with those who live in the building and those who have a justified reason for entering. He will call the police on any suspicious characters he encounters, which includes those attempting to gain access to the building for what Leonard considers to be no good reason. He knows that Danny O’Bannion, one of the residents, has a bit of a reputation in certain circles, but Leonard finds the mob boss polite and a good tipper.
