Dorothy Upman Hall - Missituk Campus

Constructed in 1879, this is the women's dorm. Dorothy Grace Upman, near the end of her life in 1875, offered the trustees a notable bequest should women, for the first time, be admitted to Missituk University. Part of the monies accepted then went to build the edifice named after her.   Female scholars must live here until age 27 unless they live with their families or with their husbands. The building is neat, clean, and cheap.
