Mehler's Funeral Parlor - 171 Lich St

Mehler's clients are well-to-do. For an extra fee, the coffin is drawn to the cemetery by a pair of matched white Arabian mares rather than carried within a motorized hearse; few New Jerusalemites desire such ostentation. Cremation, though not advertised, is available, with storage available in Mehler's private mausoleum or in Mehler's crypt in Christchurch Cemetery.   The Funeral Parlor is based out of a classic, huge, white painted Victorian house, complete with wraparound porch. The exterior is kept in excellent repair, and the lawn is professionally tended by a landscaping company. Within, the once-grand home has been subdivided into parlors for viewings and embalming equipment and set up in the back of the house. A receptionist sits behind a large desk beside the parlor, just to the right of the main entry.
