Treatment

There is no treatment for this condition for the general populace as it would wipe out the only means in which to curtail the advancement of old age. Though recently there has been the discovery that through magic and the sacrificing of a Dragons one can extend their life span. This is only possible through the magical nature of the dragon. This discovery was made by Veldar.  With his study of the history of the living creatures of Corrigenda. Since the dragons were the first and longest-lived race on the world and every dragon had magic, the correlation that through magic and the blood of a dragon one could double one's expected life. Through the multiple uses of this spell, and the potion which is crafted by it, it is possible to live for a very long time indeed. The Best dragon to sacrifice for this particular spell was one just after its first moult. What the spell and subsequent potion does is reverse the course of ageing. It would take you back to the physical age of about eighteen or nineteen with each use of the potion. The mental aspects are unaffected in the form of memory. Veldar has been using it for centuries and for this reason, has led the Druids of Corrigenda for more than three hundred years. Recently he has shared the secret with Queen Amsarill in order to garner favour and have her indebted to him.   The side-effects of this potion are that the mind is altered in such a way as to bring out the worst characteristics of the individual. Those who repeatedly imbibe slowly slip into madness as the act of creating the potion requires the death of a living, sentient being, which is frowned upon. The potion loses efficacy the more it is taken thus it is needed to be taken more often as time progresses. The longer you take the potion the quicker the effects wear off, and if the effects wear off fast enough you find yourself ageing at an exponential rate to your true age.
