West Raudrstein Adrakian Ruins

To the west of Raudrstein, ancient ruins from the long-fallen Adrakian Empire crumble into the depression of long-sunken crater where once-carefully placed bricks now litter the ground below from where they fell.   Due to the rapidly worsening views of Dragons and the Adrakian Pantheon where Dragon-Gods were worshipped, temples and shrined dedicated to them were vandalized, assaulted, and eventually demolished.   The ruins west of Raudrstein were once a minor temple complex, based on recovered records where priests would retreat from city complexes to it. Now, they are stone walls, sunken walkways, and crumbling pillars where local youths of nearly every social class - knowingly or not - have hidden, played, or snuck around without permission within.   At least once a decade or so, a small cult grows from young adults. Generally, these cults take on names like "The Scale Lords" or "The New Adrakians" and generally follow a tradition of animal sacrifices, or sacrificing human hair and finger nails, to appease the Adrakian Gods once worshipped there. These groups generally gathered at night, set bonfires and threw their "offerings" into the flames. After a year or two, the cults fade away and their members leave behind the remnants of their youth.

From my studies, the Adrakians sacrificed - for Antral's patience, these are scribblings from six centuries ago claiming to sacrifice "a lock of your mother's hair Soren" to "appease the lizard-gods". This site is completely useless to study from!

People claim to see cultists scheming in the depths or to hear the ancient ghosts of the long dead. We've been fortunate to not have seen any Undead in the ruins, but had any still walked within, maybe the defacement would not have occured.

In excavations, it appears the facility was abandonned or evacuated before its collapse, as we've not found any dead under the rubble that hadn't already been buried or entombed.

To Lord Davon,

The White Cloak agents in the area report the ruins have been compromised and desecrated from being a temple to worship Kotzuiyrn, the Razing you believed it was last used as, to being a temple where paltry offerings of animals, hair, or other discardable pieces were made by children who know nothing trying to invoke powers they know nothing about.

- agent, reporting to Davon

Find those who survive who commited this crime, and make them into proper offerings to Kaygys, the Jealous - wherever The Razing is, he may disapprove of this course of action, but he would agree the so-called offerings were disgraceful and worthy of destroying both the then-children and the temple.
