Queen Floret Taranta Salis Majara of the Faroo - Standing at average height with a fashionably pale complexion, strawberry blond hair and an hourglass figure. The bastard daughter of a wealthy Karmin merchant, Floret was trained as a courtesan and a court dancer. She learned various subtle magical skills to enhance her abilities. She was deliberately recruited as a second wife for Atheneis by the Lady Gwendra. After her marriage to Atheneis she sought a close relationship with the Alyite Order, which she joined. Her major personal project at court has to be build a dance troupe. Floret personally trains the dancers both in court dance and the erotic arts. This is the one area where she manages to work well with the High Queen who teaches the less refined and more blatantly erotic tavern dancing style. When in the field, Floret wears high leather boots that protect her knees, long gloves that come up to the elbow, leather breeches and a closely fitted leather tunic. She typically wears a voluminous black cloak with a hood. When at court she favors elegant dresses with long skirts and low necklines. When entertaining she will wear a dancers silks consisting of a halter, a long skirt slit almost to the top of the thigh and bangles.
In the field, Floret typically carries a magical rapier and dagger. She will also carry several throwing knives.
Mental characteristics
The daughter of a well-to-do Karmin merchant Floret was originally groomed to work in the family shipping business. As she grew older, it became increasingly clear that Floret had not interest in the family business, but was bright with a talent for song and dance. Her family eventually apprenticed her to a renown courtesan and entertainer. She showed a talent for both court and tavern dancing. Soon she was entertaining and sleeping with a bevy of wealthy Karmin women, but unwilling to commit to any of them. After years of of being kept, usually by several women at once, Floret was recuirted by the Lady Gwendra to go to the Imperial Court in Landor and try to ween Atheneis off of Queen Willamina. It succeeded in as far that Atheneis took Floret as the Second of her now four wives and gave her the title of Queen, but failed in that Willamina remained the High Queen. Growing tired of years of feuding between her two senior wives Atheneis eventually brokered a peace between the two women and arranged for them to use magic to have a child together. The fertility spell used was overly efficient and resulted in identical triplet daughters now known as the weird sisters. Floret is still trying to advance her eldest daughter, Malana, but is increasingly not trying to push her to the top of the order of succession, but to have her build up her role in the Empire in some other way.
Lesbian. She spends a lot of time bedding members of the Twelve Jewels and has also begun an affair with the Commander of her personal guard, Lady Yarrani, her niece by marriage. She is also frequently involved with Lady Gwendra and her wives.

History
Gwendra deliberately recruited Floret to be a competitor to Willamina. Floret bore a strong resemblance to Atheneis first wife Xerra. Atheneis took the bait and fell for Floret, not that this made her any less interested in Willamina, who remained High Queen and mother of the heir. Although she was highly competitive with with Willamina, Floret was happy enough the accept becoming Atheneis number two wife and was soon given the symbolic rank of Queen of Karmis. After a number of years of bitter conflict Atheneis made a peace deal between her two wives which involved Willamina magically impregnating Floret resulting in the birth of triplets. To further cement the relationship Atheneis bestowed the title of the Princess on the three daughters.

History
Floret and Willamina initially hated each other. Floret wanted to displace Willamina and Willamina felt like Floret disrespected her position. Eventually their constant fighting and backstabbing pushed Atheneies to find a way to force them to cooperate. Using the spell of change and a fertiity spell Willamine impregnated Floret. Te magic was far more effective than anyone bargained for and the result was triplets. The pregnancy to a degree made Willamina protective and considerate of Floret and made Floret develop a degree of affection for Willamina. They are still very competitive with each other, but cooperate on child rearing and managing the royal dance troop. They have a significant level of physical attraction to each other, but both hold Atheneis first in their affections.

Gwendra deliberately recruited Floret to come to the Imperial court. Her hope was that Floret would catch the attention of the Empress and cause her to abandon Queen Willamina. Although Floret was indeed successful at capturing Atheneis' attention, Queen Willmina stayed firmly in her position. Gwendra has come to regret aiming Floret at Atheneis and wishes she had married her instead.
