Morgan Freeman Brown

Morgan Freeman Brown

Morgan Freeman Brown was an insane, American serial killer and former Investigator.   Brown was the scion of the Freeman family, hereditary occult investigators and enemies of the Mythos. In January of 1999, Detective Lee Mercer of the NYPD brought Brown onto the case of The Nightlands, an occult-themed tabletop role-playing game linked to a string of killings. While looking into the background of The Nightlands, Mercer and Brown traveled together as far as The Art of Investigation's offices in Boston. Brown and freelance hacker August Laine also visited New York City's Masters Warehouse, where The Nightlands was being stored prior to its release. Brown played The Nightlands and fell under its curse, degenerating into violence and a desire to perform cannibalism. Hoping to spare others from this fate, Brown tried to destroy Masters Warehouse and the games inside. He failed and was abducted by Ichi Bakaru, who kept guard over the warehouse.   Abused in the captivity of Bakaru's hovel, Brown bargained for his freedom by ratting out the location of his estranged former associate, Lee Mercer. By the time that Brown became free from Bakaru, he had been named as the target of a massive NYPD manhunt for his suspected role in the deaths of multiple police officers. Fear of Brown contributed to the chaotic environment that ultimately aided New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani and Beverly Beverly in destroying Masters Warehouse and the Nightlands games inside.   Brown's Player was Luke.
