cannibalism

Cannibalism is the act of one individual of a species consuming all or part of another individual of the same species as food.   Cannibalism is generally considered taboo by the human species but, because it is a ritual sacred to Froggy, human cannibalism is a recurring theme in this story.   The occult-themed tabletop role-playing game The Nightlands curses anyone who plays it to degenerate into cannibalism, violence, and insanity. In January of 1999, each suspect in a string of unexplained cannibalistic killings was discovered by Lee Mercer of the NYPD to have previously played a pre-released copy of The Nightlands. Morgan Freeman Brown, Mercer's investigative consultant, played The Nightlands and fell under its curse. New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani became interested in Mercer's investigation, played The Nightlands himself, and was thereby doomed to a life of cannibalism unless he could find a way to break the curse.   Since a vampire is always a former human being, vampires' behavior of drinking human blood might arguably qualify as a form of cannibalism.   Cannibalism actually exists and is neither created nor owned by PAN.
