Wayt
Some warriors carry decorations on helmets, or medals on surcoats. Wayt must wear his history on his face. Scarred by the Xhosa Uprising, Wayt was kept from death so that his people could instead tear him apart. Shearing the tips of his ears concealed his elven heritage until very recently when the Shields of Sentynel learned his true identity.
Born toward the Second Stanza of the Elven Empire, Wayt served mainly as a field commander. He triumphed in several military campaigns such as the Siege of Beryl Island and the Long March to the Wall. Otway personally recognized him on several occasions including his promotion to Archon Imperator with his help drilling the Golden Crusade. Wayt's continued consent of Otway's schemes enabled many reform changes within the city, including Otway's secession from the Empire and his totalitarian dictatorship that followed.
Wayt fled the city during Xhosa occupation. Wandering across the Lower Wylds, he finally settled in a small settlement of Sentynel on the southern edge of the Long Stride. Wayt remained the town sheriff and farmer until purchasing a set of slaves from Otway. These individuals helped to solve Sentynel's water crisis and unveiled that the town's mayor, Callay, was killing slaves to help construct a new body for his patron, Chenval. Alongside his new now freed slaves, Wayt helped to form the Shields of Sentynel, an organization with the intent of freeing slaves and preparing for the oncoming curse from the north.
Wayt utilized his martial background to train troops to ward off both the Siege of Shiftgate and the demon invasion that would soon invade the Lower Wylds. It is unknown if he survived the progression of the Scorch southward.
