Callay
Self-assumed mayor of Sentynel, Callay has always had a flair for the dramatic and a penitent for the arcane. Armed with a forged deed to the fort, this warlock maneuvered himself to reclaim the land of his fallen patron, Chenval the unicorn. Purchased slaves farmed what little Sentynel could grow and then were coaxed underneath the hilltop fort to be ritually killed. Callay used these corpses to sew together flesh into the bones of his long dead patron. Completing the facsimile of the unicorn, the warlock was able to seal the divine soul of Chenval into amalgamated body and keep it in place with gentle repose. However in his haste and newly forged dragontooth alicorn in hand, Callay cast animate dead sealing the patron's fate as a ruined corpse of undeath.
In penance, Callay gave up his claim on Sentynel and pledged himself to the para-military 'Shields of Sentynel' that formed to oppose him. Aesyn, devout of Silvanus, along with the rest of the Shields were able to re-sanctify Chenval and revive him from his undead husk. Callay now seeks further absolution through orders of his patron or his sworn brothers.
Callay elected to travel into the Scorch and survived many harrowing experiences. He joined the splinter of the Shields that ventured west toward the Low Road in hope of rallying more support against the demonic invaders.
