Maþú was a country in what is now northwestern Amþax in southwestern Jútrilía, home to the Maþúlans who fled it during and after the terrible Fell Wars forty years ago, and now only inhabited by undead beings left by the conflict. Before the war, Maþú was bordered by the countries of Þamta to the northeast, Avóða to the east, Jörgalía to the southeast, Þ'iþí to the southwest, and the Niþvú Sea to the west.
Its capital was the city of Ijarta by the Niþvútic coast, famous for its pyrolatrist shrines where sacred fires were ignited using large lenses. Maþú was one of the first countries in western Jælondis to become a republic, and before the war was known for its cuisine, playwrights and film industry.

Disbandment
During the Fell Wars.
Military
The maþúlan army was notable for using a form of arcane martial arts in close quarters, a tradition derived from arctolatrist mercenaries hired to guard shrines in ancient times.
