Ahlúnans

The ahlúnans1 are predominantly orcish inhabitants of Ahlún, the western state of Agg-Ahlún, a federal republic in western Örkraz. They, along with the more numerous Aggans to the east and úrzrani tribes to the southeast, make up the majority of country's inhabitants. Far smaller but nonetheless significant communities of Örkrazic Elves, Goblins, Humans and Ophids live among the aggans as well, mostly within or near the city of Úhnú.

Architecture

Ahlúnan architecture is generally similar to that of the aggans to the east, characterized by timber structures with tall thatched roofs, parquet floors- and walls and intricate designs carved into columns, railings and other elements, all painted in bright colours. The main difference between ahlúnan and aggan styles is that the former generally lacks the tall, stone foundations for public buildings and mansions.
In Úhnú, the architecture is particularly diverse due to the presence of ethnic enclaves, such as the one inhabited by ophids having ramps alongside stairs and animal motifs being common sight within those inhabited by humans.

Cuisine

Traditional ahlúnan cuisine is based on tree fern starch, coconuts, sugarcane, fish and other seafood, land crocodile meat and all sorts of fruits and vegetables, though many modern dishes now incorporate ingredients introduced from all over Borgalor, particularly beef and goat meat, wheat, onions and garlic. Dumplings and pasta, brought by humans and Jútrilían Elves respectively, are especially popular by the younger generation, while wheat bread is mostly limited to elven- or fast food restaurants in the form of bread bowls due to the prevalence of pancakes made of tree fern starch or coconut milk.
