Borgalor
Borgalor /pɔːrkalɔr/ is a is a roughly earth-sized planet where the main landmass consists of four continents, the largest being the Southlands around the south pole, followed by Jælondis on the northern hemisphere, Örkraz at the equator and Lúrk just south of it, along with numerous islands, atolls and archipelagos. It's home to several sapient species and myriad different cultures.
Fauna & Flora
The wildlife of Borgalor is a mixture of lifeforms similar to our own, ones resembling creatures from various mythologies and folklore, including Dragons, Gryphons, Serpopards and Mandrakes, and some species unique to that world such as Moon Grapevines and Star Oats. All borgalorean lifeforms can detect magic to some extent, and certain creatures are able to use magic for various purposes, including all nine modern sapient species inhabiting that world.
Several sapient species have inhabited Borgalor throughout its history, of which the Sea Salamanders appeared first and became extinct some eighty million years ago. Of the others that emerged much later all over the world, only nine species remain: Dwarves, Elves and Humans are native to Jælondis and share a common ancestor; Goblins, Orcs and Trolls are similarly related to each other and evolved in the Southlands; while Fairies, Cyclopes and Ophids all emerged independently in northern Örkraz, the Teleyk Islands and Lúrk, respectively.

Natural Resources
Notable resources found in Borgalor includes different ores and minerals such as Hlölkite, Ilrine and Solite, each of which occurs due to different amounts of magic in the earth alongside factors such as pressure and heat, as well as Magic Crystals. The latter form in places where the amount of arcane energies has remained high for a long time. There were periods in Borgalor's history where most of the planet's surface was covered in these crystals when magic was especially powerful, and conversely where their growth was stunted due to low levels of arcane energies, only in the last eighty million years has their magic and by extension crystal formation fluctuated as much as it not does.
