Church of the Dawn
The Church of the Dawn is a church that grew out of the teaching of St Rovarian in Althetas, and eventually grew in popularity throughout Parensatia. It is now under the guidance of the Pontificum Ecclesium, with a major presence in Renelestre.
It teaches many of the outworkings of the worship of Benedino, and is particularly in interested in nurturing growth and culling wickedness. Given its origins, both in terms of its location and its patron saint, it uses a lot of agricultural metaphors, and is of direct import in a productive agrarian society. Much is said of "pulling the weeds," "planting the proper seeds," and "watering the crops." These things can be taken in their literal sense, but also speak directly to the understanding of faith and good works.
Structure
The structure of the church of the dawn fits within to the generally recognized structure of organized religion within Renelestre. There are vicars and priests who are the heads of the church on a individual level, with monsignori and bishops as the heirarchy expands regionally. There are cardinals for even more wide areas, with one primary cardinal who speaks for the entire church on the Pontificum Ecclesium.
If the seed is nurtured, it will produce tenfold.
