Marsez
People counted as prey.
Mass slaughters spread throughout the planet. Yet some refused to slay their kin. The Sun sent its children, Amaars, to punish defiant mortals. Amaar's breath turned folk into monstrous chirakis, who ripped each other apart with no hesitation. Eventually, only seven people were left, their minds latching on a sliver of sanity. They cursed the Sun, and in a final act of defiance, thought of a plan.
They’d bind themselves and starve to death, robbing the Sun of its awaited god. One of them, Vartolomeu, suggested he’d tie the friends and kill himself, so none would be tempted to betray their tenet. He weaved the ropes with his black hair, bound the kin, fell down his knees and prepared to strike. The six watched and smiled in relief when the dagger pierced Vartolomeu’s chest. A laughing grimace twisted the martyr’s face as he pulled the weapon down, ripping his stomach in a straight line.
Vartolomeu let out a pained sigh and awaited death. Suddenly, an earthquake shook the planet. An enormous, long-necked creature emerged from the depths, its human face staring down at the martyr.
“Traitor! Traitor! You knew!” screamed the bound kin.
Vartolomeus snarled, pulled out the dagger, and prepared to strike the beast. But when their eyes met, Vartolomeu gained the creature’s vast knowledge, and ascended into the third god, Marsez.
Relationship with Shemokmedi
Marsez despises the Sun. He deems its loyal gods as groveling puppets and considers slaying Shemokmedi his final hunt.Physical Description
Signs of chirakification spread across Marsez’s body. Root-like vessels weave through his flesh, constantly pulsing with yellow glow. A deep orange scar runs from his chest down the stomach.A massive horn emerges from his head, its barky tendrils resembling dried branches. Long, black hair flows down, exceeding his height tenfold. The god’s orange eyes shine with yellow radiance. His left orbit holds two goat-like eyes, always twitching and turning in an attempt to ease the pressure.
Shared Interest
The last surviving planet, Ayonerra, piqued Marsez’s curiosity. He met Med’Hea, a survivor of planet Sept’Ambra, who shared his hatred towards the Sun. Together with god Yuvnis, Med’Hea wished to create an artificial star and replace Shemokmedi with it.Marsez joined their efforts, claiming he’d slay the Sun when Yuvnis’s creation was finished. But as time passed, hatred and obsession gnawed at him. And when Chiraki Abyss, a chasm reaching Ayonerra’s sleeping core, formed, the Third God could wait no longer.
Bound
Marsez descended into the chasm and felt the core’s familiar heat. He reached the final layer, jumped inside the boiling lake and glared at the Sun’s child. But as he prepared to slay the beast, the core shifted and clutched him inside its palms. Grey-black harpoons pierced the god’s flesh, suspending Marsez with thick chains.Avatars
Centuries passed in scorching imprisonment.Once every five hundred years, a mortal boy is born with a birthmark resembling Marsez’s scar. Thirst for the hunt grows with him. Eventually, the boy reaches the Chiraki Abyss, becomes a renowned hunter and shares his knowledge with the brethren.
The Third God sees and feels through the avatar. As time passes, Marsez’s memories seep inside the mortal’s mind. The avatar becomes restless. No hunt is satisfying. No prey is enough. And when all the memories finally rush in, the mortal sees his purpose.
In the end, all avatars dive into the boiling lake.
Oh that's how he got trapped? What a dingodile.
Hey, he didn't expect the sleepy core to move that quickly.
