Last Monument to the Old World

The Last Monument to the Old World, also called the Horizon Homelander Monument, is a monument that was discovered on Horizon. It was dedicated to the Homeland by some of the earliest colonists to the Galaxy of Astraesto, who knew they would never see their homeworld ever again.
The monument remained hidden from the public, and the New Terran Republic until it was stumbled upon by building prospectors in 103AC, with the monument remaining preserved throughout that time. The New Terran Republic government would quickly put in place protections for the monument, allowing it to remain relatively intact through the millennia.
Despite Horizon changing hands several times, and many other similar monuments getting destroyed, the Horizon Homelander Monument - soon to be renamed the Last Monument to the Old World, remained intact. With Horizon falling under the control of the Federation of Anfieden and Allied Planets, the Federation Federal Government and the Horizon Planetary Government put in place some of the most protective laws for the monument that the Galaxy had ever seen. Replicas of the original have been placed on hundreds of planets across the galaxy, on every nation, including even the 4th Empire of Jerace. The Horizon Planetary police are responsible for the protection of the monument.
