Elsebeing

Elsebeings are mysterious, otherworldly creatures that hail from beyond the veil of reality. They are said to exist in a realm beyond our own, a place of unknowable possibility. They are as, if not even more, diverse than creatures inhabiting our plane of reality, as their anatomy does not seem to be determined by evolution, logic, and other laws of nature. Most elsebeings are bestial and lack intelligence beyond that of a horse, though some are as intelligent as cats, dogs, and possibly even humans though this has yet to be proven.

The art of summoning Elsebeings from the elsewhere is known as Elsebringing. It has much in common with the art of Ceremony, and many Elsebringers began their careers as practitioners of Ceremony.
