Hemomancy

Hemomancy spells, like many of the other "Sub schools" or Forbidden disciplines, can only be learned when they are taught, not simply added whenever you may learn a new spell. Subclasses with hemomancy spells in their expanded spell list get those spells as if they were taught to them.

Amplify

When a spellcaster casts a spell with the hemomancy tag, the caster can choose to amplify that spell by expending their own life force as part of casting the spell. In the description of spells with the hemomancy tag, the Amplify X section describes both the cost and benefit for the amplification of the spell. To amplify a spell, the caster must expend an amount of their Hit Dice equal to X, where X is the amplification cost of the spell. In some spells, the amplification cost is standard, i.e. Amplify 1, while in some other spells the amplification costs and effects vary, i.e. Amplify X. A spellcaster can't amplify a spell if they do not have enough Hit Dice to expend for the spell's amplification cost, unless a specific feature they have states otherwise. The minimum amount of Hit Dice a spellcaster must expend to amplify a spell with the hemomancy tag is equal to 1. For example, if a spellcaster casts the 3rd level spell blood boil and chooses to amplify it as described in the spell's description in the Amplify 3. section, the spellcaster must expend 3 of their Hit Dice to pay the amplification cost of the spell. Another example consists of a spellcaster casting the 1- st level spell blood rush and chooses to amplify it as described in the spell's description in the Amplify X section. In this case, to pay the amplification cost, the spellcaster can choose how many of their Hit Dice they want to expend.
