Choose one creature within 30 feet of you that you can see. That creature must make a Constitution saving throw. The creature takes 3d8 Necrotic damage on a failed save or half as much on a success. If the creature is killed by this spell, the body explodes. Any creature within 10 feet when this happens must make an additional Constitution saving throw or take 2d8 necrotic damage.
Amplify (2): The initial creature Takes bleed damage, instead of necrotic damage. If this kills the creature at any point, it triggers the secondary save.
At Higher Levels: When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 3rd Level or higher, the damage of the second roll increases by 1d8 for each slot level above 2nd.
