You create a mystical blood bond between two creatures of your choice within range, which must have blood. If one of the spell's targets is unwilling, it can make a Wisdom saving throw to resist the spell's effects.
When you cast this spell, choose one of its willing targets to become the spell's focus. All creatures affected by the spell become bonded with the spell's focus for spell's duration. In addition, choose what type of bond forms between bonded creatures and the spell's focus, from the bond types described below. While within 1 mile of eachother, the spell's focus and bonded creatures know eachother's exact location and whether each of them suffers harm or takes damage.
-Bond of Protection. When a bonded creature within 30 feet of the spell's focus takes damage, the spell's focus can use its reaction to magically take that damage instead. This bond type doesn't transfer any other effects that might accompany the damage, and this damage can't be reduced in any way. In addition, whenever the spell's focus regains hit points, all bonded creatures within 30 feet of it regain half that amount of hit points.
- Bond of Anguish. When the spell's focus takes damage, bonded creatures within 30 feet of it take the same amount of damage. When a bonded creature takes damage this way, the damage can't be reduced in any way. In addition, bonded creatures have disadvantage on attack rolls that don't target the spell's focus. A bonded creature sharing this type of bond with the spell's focus can make a Wisdom saving throw at the end of each of its turns, ending the spell on itself on a success.
Amplify 2. Bonded creatures within 30 feet of the spell's focus have a +1 bonus to AC and saving throws if they share a Bond of Protection with it, or suffer a -1 penalty to AC and saving throws if they share a Bond of Anguish with it.
At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 5th level or higher, you can target one additional creature for each slot level above 4th.
