The Great Return
Several hundred years ago the Akoko left the planet after the arrival of the Mega Beasts. They did not take their servants , The Ranabiri or the The Watamutum, with them on the escape and where they went, no one knows.
There is a prophecy in many tribes across the world that the Akoko are gathering their strength in order to make a great return where in they will defeat the mega beasts and their Primal God and usher in a new age.
For some this will be a new age of prosperity where all will benefit under the generosity of the Akoko who are like gods to the tribes hoping for their return. Others believe that the Akoko left because they were angry with the people of Aserere and that their return will hearken a period of greater turmoil wherein they will cleanse the plant of all things that at are unpure to them.
These prophecies are told and retold by tribal heirophants, shamans, and even some loremasters, who lend credence to the idea that the Akoko indeed did not indicate that their departure was meant to be permanent. The great issue is that after The Great Abandonment the ability to log and tell time was lost and no one is quite sure how long its been since the event.
Some Loremasters have dedicated their studies to understanding and seeking evidence of the Akoko's exodus as to ascertain when and if the ancient powerhouses would return.
