Meadow Elf
Basic Information
Anatomy
Meadow elves, especially the ones living in the north, are the tallest elf sub-species except for the northern sea elves. They have slender and graceful builds with lean muscles. Their faces are usually beautiful with high cheekbones and finely sculptured features. Their faces have a certain nobility, regality and stoicism to them, which tends to make them look unapproachable and cold. This is, however, rarely the case. They are also the elf species with the smallest ears.

Ecology and Habitats
Meadow Elves love wide open spaces with plenty of sun. The closeness to nature is crucial. Meadow Elves don't typically like mountainous, swampy or heavily forested areas. Snow and cold winters, however, are no problem for them. They are the only elf species that lives in cold climates, but they also live in the warmer, southern regions of Arregeas.
Dietary Needs and Habits
Meadow Elves are omnivores but they live primarily off of roots, berries, fruits and vegetables. Grain can also be found in their diets but that's mainly for those who live in the middle parts of Arregeas. Meat is only rarely eaten and it's generally only practiced by those who live in the northern regions, like Kaat.

Geographic Origin and Distribution
Meadow Elves can be found all over Arregeas. Kaat in the north west of the continent is a country with a primarily Meadow Elvish population and in the south Tilvin and New Talan are the same. They also live in Deya, where they have mingled with the Drifeyan Sea Elves and some of them live in small communities at the fringes of the Western and Eastern Plains. Some Meadow Elves live among the humans in the Eastern Plains and the centaurs in Brym. There is also a small population of them in Drifeyer.
Average Intelligence
Meadow Elves, like all elf species tend to be very intelligent, often exeeding the intelligence of humans.
Perception and Sensory Capabilities
Meadow elves with their pointed ears, which tend to be small, although in warmer regions bigger ears are also common, have excellent hearing, which far surpasses that of humans. Their eyes are very sharp too and can see a lot farther than human eyes. They also have a good sense of smell as well as the ability to use magic. Like all other elf species, Meadow Elves can get quite adept at magic because of their long life spans.

Originated in the high north of Arregeas. The meadow elf is the most common and most widely spread elf species and varies greatly in appearance, especially skin tone and hair colour.

The Meadow Elf is the most common sub-species of elf and therefore they are not at risk of going extinct anytime soon.

Meadow Elves have different skintones depending on their geographical location. In the north they are usually rather pale and in the south more tan.
