Saurotopia

This was the first city built after the Dinoterran, Saurians reemerged from the World Below. The Great Tower that housed the Mother Stone lies in the city center. With the Great Avenues radiating from it like spokes on a wheel. The city center is a large open plaza with the important buildings in a circle facing the tower. They include City Hall, the Library, the Hall of Records, and the Guild Hall.

Saurotopia is one of the few cities that has been continually occupied since it was established. In the beginning, it was little more than a meeting place or trading post, but has grown substantially since then. Mother had a hand in this as certain people are attracted to her emanations.

The head of the Sunstone Guild is always also the Matron of the city who is usually married to the Mayor. She has a psychic bond to the Mother Stone, and at times can sense when something is wrong on Dinoterra.

Demographics

Most of the population is a combination of unjoined saurians, with a mixture of other races like humans, halflings, gnomes.

Government

The government of Saurotopia is a representative democracy, also a meritocracy. Different providences can have different forms of government.

Infrastructure

With the discovery of Sunstones, the industrial revolution never happened so smog and other contaminants never polluted Dinoterra. Sunstones power the street and building lights. Transportation is by walking, rickshaw, wagon, mount, or bicycle; there are no powered vehicles. They have excellent water and sewage systems. Trash is taken care of by recycling, burning, or composting.
