3.0 - Steady Frost Report

General Summary

Flora Cycle Day 3
Party wakes and there's a pretty meager complementary breakfast.
Sil'Ferrous prepares something else for breakfast. Holg inquires about centaur anatomy with Atani.
When they step outside, the figure they saw last night is still there, though more like kneeling. Kneeling next to them is someone seemingly consoling the figure.
They follow the hostel owner's directions and head east back to the town entrance to the Glacial Mercantile. Near the entrance of town is a covered merchant wagon, with a halfling sitting completely bundled sitting in the back and a tan-skinned male elf leaning against the back. The elf introduces himself as Yasmah, and the halfling as Flynrich. He says that his partner, Rish, and their last wagon-mate Ivory are inside. The party enters the store. Rish continues to try and bargain with the store owner for artifacts and trinkets, but is denied.
The party arranges with Rish to travel with them to Lyston, paying them each 6 gold upon safe arrival.
They set off toward Isvey Pass in the late morning. The temperature warms up a few degrees as they travel, but the scenery remain bleak and icy. They can't shake the feeling of being watched.
That night, they are attacked by a winter wolf and her injured cub. Holg and Sil'Ferrous deal large amounts of acid damage, causing bits of fur and flesh of the beasts to slough off. They are victorious, But even after the fight, they still get the feeling of being watched.
Kilith butchers the mother wolf and fashions some darts for Atani from the wolf's bone. Sil'Ferrous presents Kilith with a potion he created from some of Kilith's scales.

Flora Cycle Day 4
Morning of the next day they reach the base of the pass. It's a steep ascent to the top of the glacier. Around noon, they reach the top. After traveling for a bit longer, a rift opens before their eyes. It begins as a thin column of water that rises from the icy ground. It splits and creates an oblong ring, the center revealing scenes and flashes of area and things not from the area. Sil'Ferrous pulls out his notes and begins walking straight toward the rift.
